Our Background
Bauer-Emerson Prep Academy opened as a non-public school in the Fall
of 2014 as part of Independent School District 622. The Academy serves
students nationwide and from around the world and was established to
provide both leading edge academic and athletic development within the
traditional school day.
Our school name, “Bauer” is also the German word for “farmer.” Like the
strong work ethic and discipline required for success on the farm, we share
the same values in our classroom and on the ice. Drawing on Ralph Waldo
Emerson’s timeless essay, “Self Reliance,” we also aspire to teach timeless
values with a modern-day focus using the most comprehensive technology
available today.
