GIVING TUESDAY
Most people know about Black Friday and Cyber Monday … now we have GivingTuesday, December
2, 2014. It is a new global movement for giving and volunteering and celebrates the “Opening day of the
giving season.” For us Catholics, December is a time when we observe Advent and focus on prayer,
almsgiving and sacrifice. Making a donation to your parish, Archdiocesan Annual Appeal or favorite
Catholic charity is a great way to mark Giving Tuesday. You can make a gift through your parish
collections or online at www.archregina.sk.ca/GivingTuesday.
th

THANK YOU
Heartfelt thanks to the many from the Catholic community and
others who attended the recent Tuesday night's Calling Lakes
Interfaith Friendship Forum (CLIFF) evening in which 19
Muslim people joined us. We not only got to know a lot more
about the truth of The Prophet Muhammad and the
real beliefs of Islam, but we got to meet people who are
peaceful and deeply caring of our country and all its people.
In these fear-filled times in which there is so much prejudice,
false information and bigotry, it was good to be with a people
who both profess and live: "Love for all, Hatred for None."
We now look forward to a follow-up evening some time early
in 2015. Thank you to one and all who were able to attend.
Father Glenn on behalf of CLIFF
