The programme aims to help to connect you with the purpose and passion for volunteering upon which your future contributions to the grassroots will be built. 001 – 009 2 CREATIVE COMMUNITY OUTREACH ■ Offers you creative approaches to achieving more effective actions and wider outreach so as to create greater impact on the community. 002 – 102 3 FUND-RAISING (BY REPUBLIC POLYTECHNIC) ■ Introduces you to the procedures in planning fund-raising activities for non-profit organisations; including identifying organisational needs and potential sponsors, drafting letters for sponsorship, and discussing ethics in fund-raising. You will practice planning for a mock fund-raising activity and review the processes and outcomes accordingly. 002 – 095 4 HELPING SKILLS FOR COMMUNITY LEADERS Equips you with knowledge and understanding of basic helping skills to appreciate the essential characteristics of a helper and be able to apply the helping skills and techniques to situations in your community. 002 – 034 5 HOMEFRONT SECURITY TRAIL Presents the challenges posed by security threats to the community, the importance of being prepared for emergencies and how you can play a part in making Singapore a safer and more secure place. Through field visits, you will also gain an understanding of roles played by various Home Team agencies. 002 – 071 6 ORGANISING EFFECTIVE HOUSE VISITS Equips you with practical skills and best practices on how to conduct house visits in a systematic and effective way. 002 – 068 7 PROCESS OF POLICY MAKING (BY REPUBLIC POLYTECHNIC) Offers you an in-depth understanding of how government policies are developed in Singapore. Upon completion of each course under CCD or CCL, participants will be awarded the respective learning units (LUs) assigned to each course. Each certificate requires completion of 30 LUs, made up of 20 LUs of Core (C) courses and 10 LUs of Elective (E) courses. To qualify for the respective certificates, participants must complete the 30 LUs within 24 months from the start date of the first class attended. Now, enter the Course Code, select the Class Period (From) or the Certificate Programme. Click the Search button. Click the Register button next to your preferred Class. 5 Click Yes to confirm your registration.
