INDUCTION PROGRAMME FOR NEW COMMUNITY LEADERS
Specially designed for newly appointed GRLs within their first six months of service, the programme provides
you with a good overview of the history, objectives and organisational structure of the PA and its grassroots
organisations (GROs), and a better understanding of the core values, roles and expectations of GROs and GRLs.
The programme aims to help to connect you with the purpose and passion for volunteering upon which your
future contributions to the grassroots will be built.

NACLI and RP jointly offer two Certificate Programmes: Certificate in Community Development (CCD) and Certificate in Community
Leadership (CCL). Upon completion of each course under CCD or CCL, participants will be awarded the respective learning units
(LUs) assigned to each course. Each certificate requires completion of 30 LUs, made up of 20 LUs of Core (C) courses and 10 LUs
of Elective (E) courses. To qualify for the respective certificates, participants must complete the 30 LUs within 24 months from the
start date of the first class attended.
E.g: CCD – C1 A core course offered under the Certificate in Community Development, with 1 LU
CCL – E2 An elective course offered under the Certificate in Community Leadership, with 2 LUs

To begin, log on to the Grassroots Connect Portal
website at www.grassrootsconnect.org.sg using
your Portal Account Username (NRIC) and Password
and click on the Login button. Alternatively, you can
click on the SingPass button to log on using your
SingPass Account.
You will be brought to the Search and Register for
Courses page. Now, enter the Course Code, select the
Class Period (From) or the Certificate Programme. Click
the Search button.
Click the Register button next to your preferred Class.

Click Yes to confirm your registration.

Once you have successfully logged in, click on the
TRAINING tab.

Scroll down to check the details of the class and click on
the Register button.

You will receive an auto prompt message from the
