The open house is scheduled from 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m., in the Plainview City Hall, 241 W. Broadway, Plainview, MN 55964. The meeting will be an open house format and no formal presentation will be given. Representatives from MnDOT and the consulting design firm Stantec will be available to answer questions and provide information about the process, which is known as a mill and overlay. The project, which is expected to begin in June, will run 14 miles from Eyota to Elgin to Plainview. Attendees can review the project’s 2015 construction schedule, including a detour that will be in place during construction. Attendees can get updates on the construction plans, including minor storm sewer and sidewalk replacement. With this project, MnDOT is working to ensure an efficient and effective transportation system.
