Fine Arts Show of Lincoln Hills Entry Forms th 12 Annual Fine Arts Show Friday, February 20, 2015, 5 pm – 8 pm Saturday, February 21, 2015, 9 am – 6 pm Sunday, February 22, 2015, 9 am – 3 pm LINCOLN HILLS FINE ARTS SHOW February 20, 21, 22, 2015 Participant’s Instructions ARTISTS’ REGISTRATION MEETING January 23, 2015 The registration meeting for all artist-participants is scheduled for January 23, 2015, and will be held in the OC Fine Arts Room at 2 pm. You or a representative must attend. Your registration forms must be completed and turned in at this meeting. If you cannot attend, please arrange for someone to attend and turn in your registration forms and entry fee for you. This will also be an opportunity to pass along additional information, clarify instructions, and answer any questions. Postcards will be available at this time. SHOW HOURS This year the show will begin on Friday evening, February 20, from 5 PM to 8 PM. The show will continue on Saturday, February 21, from 9 AM to 6 PM, and on Sunday, February 22, from 9 AM to 3 PM. We will have a no-host bar on Friday and Saturday evenings. POSTCARDS Postcards will be printed illustrating the show’s Signature Art on one side, and information about the show with dates and times on the reverse. You are encouraged to mail these to your friends/clients inviting them to the show on Friday, February 20, from 5 PM to 8 PM; Saturday, February 21, from 9 AM to 6 PM; and Sunday, February 22, from 9 AM to 3 PM. These quality postcards will be distributed at the January 23 registration/information meeting. DELIVERY OF ARTWORK Art must be delivered to the Orchard Creek Ballroom on Friday, February 20, from 10 AM - 11 AM. This is the ONLY time that work can be accepted. The receiving area will be located in the hallway on the south side of the ballroom. The registration area may be busy; please be patient. Unsold Art must be picked up at the close of show promptly at 3:00 PM on Sunday, February 22. We cannot be responsible for work remaining after 3:00 PM. QUESTIONS? The Registration Form and Entry Fee will only be accepted at the Registration Meeting on January 23, 2015. If you are unable to attend, please arrange for someone to do this for you. Due to space restrictions, entries shall be limited to 60 artists. 2. NO ENTRIES OR CHANGES WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER JANUARY 23, NOR CAN PRICES BE CHANGED OR LOWERED DURING THE SALE. 3. Entrants must be residents of Sun City Lincoln Hills. 4. Work must be original, not previously shown in the Fine Arts Show. No copies, no crafts, or works by commercial printing process (i.e., no giclees, enhanced giclees, or prints of original artwork). Exception: Photography will be accepted. Fine arts sculpture will be accepted. All entries must be dry. The Fine Arts Show Committee reserves the right to refuse any entry that is deemed inappropriate to the purpose and goals of the show. 5. The registration fee for entering the art show is $35. 6. Each artist may enter a maximum of 4 pieces of two–dimensional or three-dimensional art. If a piece is sold, it may be replaced for a $10 restocking fee. 7. Three-dimensional art must be decorative only, not for food use, and ready for suitable display on tables or pedestals furnished by the artist. 8. Minimum sale price for artwork is $100. Only one piece may be designated NFS (not for sale). 9. 15% of each sale will be deducted from the total sale price to cover administrative charges. Sales tax will be added at point of sale. Artists will receive their checks approximately three weeks following the show. All sales must be made through the FASC at the show’s front desk. 10. Artwork must be received in the Ballroom on Friday, February 20, between 10 AM and 11 AM. The show will open to the public starting at 5 PM on that evening. 11. Only Set-up Committee members will be allowed in the Ballroom during hanging and preparation for the show. Unauthorized personnel will be asked to leave. 12. Artwork must not have been displayed in any previous Fine Arts Show. 13. Paintings must be framed or on wrap-around canvas. Any exception must be reviewed by the Rules Committee. 14. Two-dimensional work must ready for hanging. No sawtooth or eyelet hangers. D-rings (flat hangers) and wire are available at local home and/or hardware stores. 15. Attached are the two-part labels. Complete the label and affix the upper half of the appropriate label to the upper left-hand corner of the back of each painting or photograph. Retain the lower half as your receipt for pickup. 16. No awards may be displayed with artwork. 17. Artists are required to attend 2 hours each day. 18. Following the show on Sunday, February 22, unsold artwork must be picked up promptly at 3:00 PM in the ballroom. Kindly present your receipts. If someone will be collecting your work, they must have a signed permission statement and your receipt.
