A Weekly Newsletter of Fairview Baptist Church THE VIEW December 18, 2014 The following is an update from our Church Partnership in Vermont: On October 5th Faith For Life Church met for the very first time to worship! We were a little nervous but more than anything, we were extremely excited to see what God had in store. The day had finally become a reality, and what a great time we had! God blessed us with an amazing group of people some of whom we had met in Bible Study, Vacation Bible School, and other community gatherings who had come to learn more about Faith For Life Church. Friends from all around Vermont came to support our new Church launch on that beautiful autumn day. After praying and seeking God's direction for Faith For Life Church, our Mission Statement is "We seek to glorify God by making Disciples of all Nations". The title of the message on our first Sunday was "Jesus, The One Who Is Everything", and I had the special privilege of telling the congregation about my Lord and Savior!! We are excited to report to you that an average of fifty people are worshipping with us each week, and to date, we have seen four people come to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior! The town of Castleton, VT has been very encouraging to our new church. Additionally, the Castleton Village School, which is next door, has allowed us to use their building for Children's Church. This has been a great blessing due to our need for educational space. We are averaging around ten children each Sunday! Our kids are doing great adjusting to their new school, so thank you for praying for our family. We all experienced a new meaning of God's creation during the beautiful season of autumn in Vermont! We thank God daily for your continual support. God has certainly used each of you in a very special way to provide for Vermont Missions. Our family would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and blessed and joyous New Year.
