E XP E RI E NCE Autodesk Sustainability Research Intern Toronto, ON Summer 2014 Designed custom circuit boards for a low-cost easily implemented wireless mesh sensor network. Refactored large threaded procedural C code base to object oriented C++ code. Prototyped various 3d enclosures for sensors using Inventor and makerbots for printing. Queen’s Space Engineering Team Communications Lead Kingston, ON Fall 2013 - Ongoing Helped design both electrical and software systems for a Mars enabled rover to compete in the 2012 NASA Lunabotics Competition. Designed and implemented a 2km no-line of sight wireless communication system with ground tracking antenna for an astronaut assisting rover to be used in competition at the annual University Rover Challenge in Utah. Also involved in power systems, user interface, robotics control and mechanical design. Queen’s University Kingston, ON Teaching Assistant Fall 2014 – Ongoing Taught weekly lab classes to over 40 students. Helped design and mark lab reports, quizzes and assignments. Assisted graduate students in running tutorials to take up homework problems and examples Taught various courses including: Calculus; Mechanics; Electricity and Magnetism; Computer Science Camp Robin Hood Section Manager Markham, ON Summer 2010-2013 Co-led program to teach effective leadership skills to teens aged 12 to 14. Windows 8 Magic Eight Ball (2014) Virtual magic eight ball developed and released for windows phone 8 platform. C++, Visual Studio, XML. Mandelbrot Zoom (2013). Application to generate Mandelbrot set, with toggle zoom and various color themes. C++, SDL. 8x8x8 LED Cube (2013) Large cube comprised of 512 LED’s with over 1000 solder points. Controlled by Atmega chip programmed in C.
