Church Conference
The Deacons voted at their meeting on December 7, 2014 to recommend the Church change
the Church Conference to January 14, 2015 in lieu of January 21, 2015. The purpose of the
conference will be to vote on Dr. Wayne Brown to be called as our interim Pastor plus to vote
on the personnel, as approved by the Deacons, to serve on the Pulpit Committee to search for
a new Senior Pastor.
“Discover Together “ Bible Study
The “Discover Together” Bible Study based on I & II Thessalonians, begins January 6 in the
Friends in Christ Sunday School classroom. Choose the most convenient time for you, either
8:00 a.m. or 7:00 p.m.
A Mission Trip to Chile
Join our own Pastor Lee Riggs on a mission trip to partner with missionaries Dwight and Barb
Bolick in Chile from April 23 through May 8. Copies of the Announcement are available
throughout the church. For Application Forms contact Dr. Riggs at 843-424-7658. The
deadline to apply is December 31.
6th Annual Coastal Samaritan Soup Cook Off Fundraiser
Coastal Samaritan Counseling Center offers spiritually integrated psychotherapy to anyone in
need regardless of the ability to pay for the counseling service provided and for the
counselors’ salaries. The 6th Annual Coastal Samaritan Soup Cook Off Fundraiser will be
held on January 11, 2015 from 4:00 p.m.—6:00 p.m. in the Family Life Center. Subcommittees for all areas are still needed. Please contact Jim and Teri Pruitt at (843) 333-3745
or teripruitt@sc.rr.com if you have any questions. Tickets ($8.00 each) are available for
purchase in the front office. Teri Pruitt will be in the Fellowship Hall with tickets for sale from
9:30 a.m.-10:00 a.m. today and on Sunday, January 4.
