The Commissioners Court of DeWitt County is seeking applications from qualified residents interested in fulfilling an unexpired term in the office of Constable, Precinct One (1).
Qualified applicants will need to meet the statutory qualification of office as determined by Chapter 141.001 of the Local
Government Code and any other requirement pertaining to
the office including Chapter 86 of the Local Government
Code. Commissioned peace officers will be given priority. Applicants must be bondable.
This appointment will fill an unexpired term of office which is
up for election in 2016. Therefore, the appointee will have
the option of declaring himself/herself as a candidate for a
four-year term during the campaign filing period in late 2015.

DeWitt County Judge, at 307 N. Gonzales Street in Cuero,
