Summary:
SLSA has recently undertaken a process to invite interested clubs to submit expressions of
interest to host national events in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. This circular confirms the national
event allocations for the next three years.
BACKGROUND AND PROCESS:

Between April and October 2014, SLSA has been undertaking a process to allocate national events for 2015, 2016, 2017
and 2018.
A summary of the timelines and steps in the process is outlined in the table below:

Briefings conducted between SLSA and interested parties if/as required in
accordance with the published EOI documentation.

IMPACT CONSIDERATIONS:
In addition to the specific event specifications outlined in the EOI documentation, the following elements have been considered
in forming the recommendations:

Operational cost to deliver each event in proposed locations
Income opportunities for SLSA
Geographic balance
Climate
Location of other SLSA National Events (national balance over time)
Operational efficiencies for SLSA
Safety of the venue, including suitable identified contingency venues where applicable
Other events scheduled in the region, both SLS and non-SLS events
With the above process having now concluded, SLSA can confirm the allocations of sport events in 2015, 2016, 2017/18. Further
to the venues being confirmed, dates are also confirmed for all 2015/2016 season events. Dates for 2016/17 and 2017/18
seasons shall be confirmed at a later date. This information is contained in the table on the next page.
