By every measure, Century Credit Union gets top ratings when it comes to service.
Our members are among the most satisfied anywhere, and we tend to hang on to
our members over time. Folks who got their first accounts with us as kids are now
coming to us for auto loans, and even their first home loans. Members who have
raised families with us are now reaping the benefits of secure retirement savings with

Is it our friendly, professional staff? Is it the fact that our management is constantly
looking for ways to cut costs on loans? Is it the fact that our one-and-only checking

because YOU are our credit union owner. You make the difference.
Credit Unions vs. Banks
Banks are owned by stockholders. Every decision made by a bank – how much of
a fee should they charge for checking, how high of an interest rate to charge for a
loan – is made by figuring out how much money the stockholders will earn when the
bank turns a profit. Customers are the means by which the stock portfolio grows.
Credit unions are not-for-profit financial institutions. The only concern is the member
and how he or she can save with security and borrow affordably.

To keep your checks absolutely free – one of the

checking account – we’re changing to a new check
printer. You’ll still receive two boxes of checks free

We’ll mail scholarship applications to all members
ages 13-18 in the coming month.
Members ages 13-15 are invited to
apply for the $500 Louis Kovarik
Memorial Scholarship, and those
ages 16-18 may apply for the
$1,000 William Pauly Memorial
Scholarship. Applicants will write an
essay based on a topic listed in
the application, and our winners
will be announced at our annual
meeting in April. Good luck to all

Fast Tax Figures
The account figures you need to file your taxes are already available! Your
fourth-quarter statement includes complete details on all dividends earned
and the mortgage interest you paid during 2014. Members who use online
banking can also find this information in their account history. Official 1099
forms will be mailed no later than January 31, 2015, as long as you earned at
least $10 in dividends or paid more than $600 in mortgage interest.
