Special Issue on “Cloud Computing Optimization: Theory and Applications”
Theme and Scope
Cloud computing is one of the most exciting new trends which provides a paradigm to enable convenient and on-demand
network access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources such as infrastructure, platforms and software as
utilities to customers. Despite the potential gains achieved from the cloud computing, the organizations are slow in accepting
it due to the related optimization of cloud theory and applications and challenges associated with it. In terms of Quality of
Service (QoS) optimization, cloud-based services must be managed and operated at equivalent levels to enterprise systems.
The QoS optimization challenges related to cloud computing become a critical concern.
This special issue aims to provide a leading chance for researchers, practitioners and developers from different background
areas such as distributed computing, wireless computing, information security and privacy protection areas to exchange the
latest experience, research ideas and synergic research and development on fundamental issues and applications about QoS
optimization issues in cloud environments. It is a leading chance for exchanging and sharing experiences, new ideas, and
research results on broad topics on various research issues concerning with the QoS optimization in cloud environments. The
special issue solicits high quality research results in all related areas.
For this, this Special Issue of JIT is addressing a call to researchers and academics for innovative papers submissions on the
following (not limited) list of topics:
 Cloud QoS optimization
 Cloud security architecture and protocol
 Trust models for cloud services
 Cloud availability, standard
 Cloud service: multimedia, virtualization, and others
 Cloud resource allocation and indexing
 Cloud identity management mechanisms
 Energy/cost/efficiency of security in clouds
 Autonomic service in cloud computing
 Intra- and inter-cloud computing issues and considerations
 optimization policy framework for clouds
 optimization mechanisms in cloud services
 Privacy protection in cloud platforms and operations
 Privacy-preserving methods for data access and data mining
 Social and wireless computing in cloud computing
