IBEX
INDIA
2014
It was a pleasure for me, to see IBEX
2014 showcasing the most innovative &
extensive range of banking technology
from across the world. This explosive
change is playing a significant part in the
evolution of new-age banking. IBEX 2014
provided an interactive platform for all
stakeholders in the BFSI sector to come
together to explore, understand and
revisit banking and financial technology.
The topic of Banking Experience
Transformation for Sustainable and
Secure Banking, was a much needed
point & it was good to see the focus
being directed towards this.
India has a huge opportunity to transform
its retail banking and move ahead of
other international markets. For Glory
Global Solutions this presents an
opportunity for our cash management
solutions to help banks across the country
become world leaders in this area. As a
result, we have prioritised resources and
provided investment to facilitate this
transition for existing and new
customers. I see an exciting future for
Glory Global Solutions, and more
importantly its customers throughout
India.
Mr. Paul Adams,
CEO, Glory Global Solutions.
IBEX 2014 provided us with the ideal
platform for exhibiting our products
which are fairly new to the banking
industry. The crowd that comes to the
expo is very receptive and open to new
innovations which are required to push
new products in the market. The
delegates cover various departments such
as CXOs, Securty, IT, etc which ensures
the perfect reach for all types of OEMs
and manufacturers. Soundseal™ is really
happy to partner IBEX in its unique
initiative.

COMMENTS
This forum has aptly highlighted the need
for asset protection, cost reduction, high
uptime for facilities and enhanced
operational efficiencies and productivity
for a sustainable and secure banking
environment. In order to realize the
benefits of M2M holistically, factors like
inter-operability of services, M2M data
privacy, seamless connectivity and
operator independence are the key.

Mumbai as the Venue:
Many of India's numerous conglomerates (including State Bank of India, Life
Insurance Corporation of India) and five of the Fortune Global 500 companies
are based in Mumbai. Several foreign banks and financial institutions also have
branches in this area, with the World Trade Centre being the most prominent
one.
Mumbai enjoys the distinction of being the financial and commercial capital of
the country as it generates 6.16% of the total GDP. It is also one of the world's
top 10 centres of commerce in terms of global financial flow.
A sizable part of the business of commercial and investment banks, exchanges,
securities firms, private equity and other financial services operate from Mumbai
as the base. The significance of Mumbai could be measured from the presence
of premier institutions across all major constituents of the financial sector.
In 2007, Ministry of Finance, the Government of India, constituted a High
Powered Expert Committee to examine various aspects of making Mumbai an
International Financial Centre. By 2025, it is estimated that Mumbai, with a
population of 26.4 million, will be the second biggest urban agglomeration after
Tokyo.
Mumbai has several unique features that make it a competitive city that attracts
business, people and investments from India and abroad. Mumbai is home to
important financial institutions such as the Reserve Bank of India, the Bombay
Stock Exchange, the National Stock Exchange of India, the SEBI and the
corporate headquarters of numerous Indian companies and
multinational corporations.
