*Students please remind your parents that ALL DELIVERIES must be delivered to the front office.
Deliveries are not allowed to be brought to the student parking lot gate. Students are not allowed to
order their own food to be delivered here at school. Thank you.

office, library and counseling. Order on line or at School during lunch on February 2nd, 3rd & 4th.

On Wednesday, February 11th, at 6:00pm, Mission Hills High School is hosting AP Parent Night.
This is an evening where a formal presentation will be given regarding the Honors and Advanced
Placement courses that are offered on our campus. Handouts will be provided and there will be an
opportunity to speak to some of our Honors and Advanced Placement teachers about their
courses. Students and their parents who are interested in taking an Honors or AP course next year
should attend this informational meeting.

The last day to buy a yearbook with an engraved NAMEPLATE is Friday, January 23rd. Yearbooks are
$75.00 with nameplates $78.00 and a Senior nameplate $81.00. Buy yours at the finance before Friday!!

SENIORS
Register for a PIN at www.pin.ed.gov so you can complete and sign the Free Application for Federal
Student Aid (FAFSA) online. Students and parents must have their own PIN's. Be prepared to enter
your name, Social Security number, date of birth and a challenge question

PLUS stands for Peer Leaders Uniting Students and the next PLUS Forum will be on Tuesday, January
27. A PLUS Forum is a powerful and fun-filled morning of activities completely run by your fellow
students, who are on the PLUS Team.
Permission slips are available in the Counseling Office and in Mr. Butler’s room 460 and you can
download one below. Permission slips are due by Friday, Jan. 23.

COLLEGE &CAREER CENTER:
CSU and UC Middle Class Scholarships
The Middle Class Scholarship is a new program that provides undergraduate students with family incomes of up to
$150,000 with a scholarship of 10%-40% of the Cal State University and UC campus fees. Begin applying January 1,
2015 via the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).

LIBRARY:
The ID equipment is now ready up in the Library.
We should be able to take make ID cards throughout the day between 7- 4 M-Thur. and 7-3:30 on Fri.
If you are an advisor and a walk on coach needs an ID, please send them through Erie in the front office so we know
they are authorized for a MHHS Staff ID card.
Students needing a replacement ID card will need to pay the Finance Window $10.00 and bring us up the receipt.
New students will receive an ID card when they get their books.
Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions,
TEXTBOOKS:
The Library is open from 7am - 4pm Mon - Thurs, 7am - 3:30 pm on Fri.
Students may checkout or return a textbook to the Library anytime it is open.
The Textbook Office is no longer open before school, after school at break or lunch.
Teachers may contact Michele Espinoza to schedule times for their classes to check in or out textbook novels.
All textbooks need to be returned when a student drops the class, the year ends or when a student leaves our school.
