This fee covers performance/costume hire & rehearsal fees. No additional fee will be charged.
NB:
THE PERFORMANCE LEVY DOES NOT APPLY TO THE TINY TOTS CLASS OR NON-PERFORMERS.
For additional children in the family, each discipline (with the exception of Combo) will be charged at $90 only. Annual Administration Fee = $20 per
student/family. Special rates apply for families; please see the Administrator who will work out a package for you.
Special rates available for student teachers and scholarship recipients.
Private lessons are available by making arrangements with the Principal/Director only.
The Principal will advise the availability of a teacher and studio time. Private lessons are essential for students undertaking Rep Team/Solo and Duo work.


Enrolment
At the start of each calendar year or when
joining for the first time, an enrolment form
must be completed and an enrolment fee paid.
It is important to inform CD Co. of any changes
to your enrolment and contact details if they
change.
Your enrolment is valid for the current calendar
year. The enrolment fee includes insurance
cover for each dancer. CD Co. reserves the right
to disallow or discontinue a dancer’s enrolment
due to misadventure or misconduct.
Students should be prepared to sit for
examinations
as
directed
by
the
Principal/Director and teachers. These are held
by the British Ballet Organization and are
considered important for the development of
good technique and stage presence.
Public Holidays
Secondhand Items
Classes are not held on Public Holidays
If you have shoes or studio attire to sell, please
place in a clear plastic bag, marked clearly with
your name and the price, give to your teacher to
place in the secondhand box. Please ensure the
items are clean and well presented, especially
footwear.
Attendance/Classes
No student may drop or add classes once Term
Two has commenced. If a student decides to
take a term or days off, you are still liable to pay
fees. You cannot take a term off and then return
in a later term without payment of the previous
term taken off. Once a student has enrolled it is
presumed it is for the full year.
If you decide to leave the school, a full terms
notice must be given to the Principal/Director or
Administrator only. Do not text other teachers
or students with messages.
Warming up
Payment
Term Fees – are strictly payable within the first
two weeks of term. Payments after this date will
incur a 15% penalty charge on the outstanding
amount. Please note that we cannot allow
outstanding fees after week 3 of term and we
will assume that you have chosen to discontinue
enrolment unless CD Co. has been notified.
If you are paying via a pre-arranged payment
plan, it must be completed by the end of the
term as there can be no carry over into the next
term.
Private Lessons – are strictly payable in advance
and dependent on the availability of the teacher
and venue. All matters regarding private lesson
are to be directed to the Principal/Director.
Discounts – CD Co. offers discounts to families
and please note that the Combo Class is heavily
discounted.

Uniform
All enrolled dancers are required to wear their
specific uniform in class. A neat and tidy
appearance helps put students into the right
frame of mind, it gives them confidence and
pride in themselves. It also helps teachers see
good body placement and correct use of
muscles. Hair must be tied back and off the
face. Ballet students should have their hair in a
neat bun.
Dancewear should be in the Red/Black
combination and is available from Taps
Dancewear at Erindale or from Heidi Pernitsch
who regularly attends the school for orders.
Tights and bodysuits are available through the
school. Dance shoes/Uniforms must be
purchased by the second week in Term One.
The use of mobile phones by students are not
permitted during class.
Please ensure that you warm up prior to
commencement of class to avoid injury.
Stretching should be done during or at the end
of class.
Zero tolerance to bullying etc
Every student/Teacher/Parent is to be
respectful of each other at all times. CD Co.
does not tolerate bullying, harassment, or
racism of any kind.
If any student has a problem in class or a parent
has any concerns, please bring it to the
attention of the Principal/Director straight
away.
Performance
Show dates are set down at the start of the year
in Term One. Please pencil the dates in as soon
as they are announced. Once you have
committed to performing in the show you will
be charged a Performance levy, this levy is nonrefundable as costume orders take place in the
second term. Please note that if a student pulls
out, you will be charged the full cost of
costumes which remain the property of CD Co.
Participation in performances is not
compulsory; however, we encourage and assist
all students in their endeavours to excel in this
field. Once you commit to these performances,
you cannot withdraw (physical injury excluded).
JAZZ
(Dancewear range in red/black combination)
OR:
Black dance pants with navy leotard and
navy crossover, tan split-soled jazz shoes
(for juniors) or pull on style, hair neat and
tidy and off the face. Jazz Sneakers or Jazz
boots are for performance classes ONLY
and not for exam or technique class. All
seniors in black shoes. Silver chorus shoes
for seniors in performances.
Boys
Black shoes for boys, black dance pants and
black t-shirt or singlet.
TAP
(Dancewear range in red/black combination)
OR:
Black dance pants with navy leotard and
navy crossover, tan or silver tap shoes
(unless otherwise specified), hair neat and
tidy and off the face.
Boys
Black shoes, black dance pants and black tshirt or singlet.
BALLET
(Grades 2 to Foundation Intermediate). No
bright leotards for ballet.
Navy or pale blue leotard, navy crossover,
pink tights, pink ballet shoes, hair neat and
tidy in a bun, matching ribbons.
Boys
Black short sleeved leotard, black bike pants
or tights, black ballet shoes. Hair neat and
tidy off the face.
ADULT CLASSES & HIP HOP
Casual loose fitting clothing or as per Tap
and Jazz. Please wear appropriate footwear,
e.g. sneakers or jazz sneakers, no bare feet.
A neat and tidy appearance.
CONTEMPORARY
As per ballet, bare feet or foot thong
Choreography
To preserve the intellectual property of our
creative teachers, all choreography for
competitions/performances remain the
property of CD Co. and may not be used without
the permission of CD Co.
First Aid
A fully equipped First Aid Kit is available. A
qualified person (Administrative Officer) is on
hand during classes to administer first aid if
needed.
Safety
Personal Clothing
The school is not responsible for students prior
to commencement of their class or after their
class is finished unless prior arrangements have
been made. Students should be brought into
class by a parent or guardian and collected at
the end of their class by a parent or guardian.
Dance attire
Please ensure that all clothing is clearly name
labelled. Always bring your dance bag and
remember to return your shoes to the bag as
you change for the next class.
Disclaimer
CD Co. strives to provide a safe environment for
the students. We are not responsible for
accidents or injuries caused whilst participating
in classes due to student neglect. Students must
take care of their own personal safety at all
times and ensure they are medically fit to
participate in classes.
We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
We recommend all clothing/shoes etc. be name
labelled. If found, clothing will be placed in the
lost property box and if not claimed by end of
term, given to Vinnies.
Rep Team
Is a mix of genres and open to all those keen for
competition/eisteddfods and performing out.
