Mediators of Inflammation Special Issue on Chemokines and Chemokine Receptors: Roles in Tumors of Hematopoietic and Lymphoid Tissues CALL FOR PAPERS Chemokines and chemokine receptors are able to control the migration and residence of all immune cells. Some chemokines are considered proinflammatory and can be induced during an immune response at a site of infection, while others are considered homeostatic and are involved in controlling the migration of cells during tissue development or maintenance. Lead Guest Editor Luciana Marti, Instituto Israelita de Ensino e Pesquisa Albert Einstein, São Paulo, Brazil luciana.marti@einstein.br Nowadays approximately 50 endogenous chemokines ligands and 20 G-proteincoupled receptors have been described. However, there is still a lot to be comprehended in this field, particularly regarding mechanisms during development of tumors of hematopoietic and lymphoid tissues. The aim of this issue is to highlight the state of the art knowledge about chemokines and their receptors and described roles beyond cell migration. Guest Editors Mariano Janiszewski, Amgen Inc., Thousand Oaks, USA marianoj@amgen.com Potential topics include, but are not limited to: Recent developments in chemokines Chemokines structure-function relationship and signaling pathways Chemokines and their roles in development of tumors of hematopoietic and lymphoid tissues Regulation of chemokine expression and/or their cross-talk with cytokines during tumours of haematopoietic and lymphoid tissues development Description of new roles for chemokines and their receptors beyond cell migration Authors can submit their manuscripts via the Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/submit/journals/mi/ccr/.
