Rage FC crowned champions R age FC has been crowned champions in the Students India - Grand Hyper under 17 football tournament, held at the Public Authority for Youth and Sports Stadium at Mishrif. In a thrilling Final, they beat SEPT Kuwait FC 2-1 in penalties, after both teams were locked at 1-1 after regular time and extra time. Earlier in the Semi-Finals, Rage FC overcame BFC in penalties while SEPT Kuwait defeated Arkanes FC by 2 goals. A total of 14 teams participated in the tournament, which was held in association with Youth India. The winners Rage FC were presented the trophy and cash award by the regional director of Grand Hyper, Ayoob Kechery. Youth India president Rafeeq Babu presented the runnersup with their awards. Ibrahim of Rising Star Club was the top scorer in the tournament while Karthik of BFC was selected as the best Goal keeper. Akheel Abdu Rahman of SEPT Kuwait was awarded man of the match in the final. KEFAK president Abdulla Qadiri, Faisal Winners, Abdul Razaq Nadvi and Najeeb VS presented the individual honors. The matches were controlled by Shaji, Mansoor, Muneer, Rabeesh, Ibrahim and Navas.
