COURSE OVERVIEW
CE ACCREDITATION
The goal of this conference is to present and
discuss current information on critical care
medicine.
Memorial Sloan Kettering is an Approved
Provider of continuing nursing education by
the Northeast Multistate Division (NE-MSD),
an accredited approver by the American
Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on
Accreditation.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This course is designed for Nurse
Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Nurses,
Physicians and other health care professionals
interested in critical care.
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of the educational activity,
participants will be able to:
• Understand the likely and unlikely
etiological organisms and various
therapeutic regimens for common intraabdominal infections
• Define and describe the management and
etiology of delirium
• Describe the proper uses and
misunderstandings of Ambu bags, and
incentive spirometers
• Describe the common post-operative
complications and management
7.75 contact hours will be awarded to
registered nurses who attend the program in
its entirety.
ACCREDITATION STATEMENT
Memorial Sloan Kettering is accredited by the
Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical
Education to sponsor continuing medical
education for physicians.

use of advanced cardiac, pulmonary and
hematologic assessments
AMA CREDIT DESIGNATION STATEMENT
MSK designates this live activity for a
maximum of 7.75 AMA PRA Category 1
Credits™. Physicians should only claim
credit commensurate with the extent of their
participation in the activity.
The AMA has determined that physicians
not licensed in the United States but who
participate in this CME activity are eligible for
7.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM.
Memorial Sloan Kettering does not accept
commercial support for its CME or CNE
programs.
Registration fee is waived for MSKCC
employees. The early registration fee (by
January 20th, 2015) is $160. After January
20th, 2015 the registration fee will be raised to
$190. Your registration fee includes the course
syllabus and other related handout materials,
continental breakfast, lunch and refreshment
breaks.
