ELECTRICIAN / FITTER
You will be required to meet all aspects of operational manufacturing, quality control and
reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance to ensure that all statutory duties are met and
complied with, including Health and Safety and Environmental legislation.
To be an ideal candidate you will be familiar with working in the Quarry / Mineral processing
industry, educated with a suitable apprenticeship or have appropriate qualifications as an
Electrical and Mechanical Fitter. You will be responsible for PPM and implementation of new
equipment and any subsequent breakdowns. You will need to have electrical competences in
relation to fault finding, changing electrical motors and be able to work on sensors. You will
be required to work at height and use mobile plant, such as forklift, cherry picker and Steer
loader. Candidates must be able to demonstrate interpersonal skills and be extremely
confident in a computerised environment as the position will involve use of the company
business system, SAP. Knowledge of PLC’s would also be an advantage.
WORKS ENGINEER
Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for the management and
administration of electrical and mechanical maintenance and new installation project work.
You will be required to ensure that all statutory duties are met and complied with, including
current Health and Safety and Environmental legislation. With appropriate training you should
be able to deputise for the Plant Manager and Production Manager in their absence.
On a day to day basis you will also manage a small team of electrical and maintenance
craftsmen to carry out planned and reactive maintenance. You will be able to implement and
manage planned maintenance systems. Demonstrable skills in the use and development of
maintenance management systems would be useful, particularly experience of SAP software.
Although training can be given full computer literacy will be required.
To be an ideal candidate, you will be educated to HND or Degree level in Engineering. You
will have proven experience and programming skills in PLC and SCADA systems. It is essential
that you are used to working flexible hours.
