Make a difference in brain research and innovation in Ontario The Ontario Brain Institute is a provincially-funded, not-for-profit virtual research centre seeking to maximize the impact of neuroscience and establish Ontario as a world leader in brain discovery, commercialization and care. We create convergent partnerships between researchers, clinicians, industry, patients, and their advocates to foster discovery and deliver innovative products and services that improve the lives of those living with a brain disorder. Interns are assigned to a specific team within OBI and work collaboratively across teams within the organization. OBI internships run on sixmonth terms, with the possibility of an additional six-month placement with an external partner. The Industry Relations Intern will work in a dynamic team environment under the supervision of Program Leads to assist the team with Ontario neuroscience cluster ongoing initiatives, including: monitoring and maintaining quality assurance standards on the OBI’s Neuroscience Asset Map such as web testing, profile updating and site maintenance identifying and reviewing potential funding opportunities for Ontario neuroscience companies creating and maintaining profiles of CNS-based drug and device companies completion and maintenance of competitive analyses on key areas of neuroscience sector on a global basis Requirements The ideal candidate is a recent graduate with an MSc. or PhD. in Neuroscience, or a related field. You have a firm understanding of the importance of research, knowledge of Ontario’s neuroscience scene and are committed to improving brain health. You are creative, self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Your well-honed research, analytic, and time management skills enable you to clearly identify goals, translate plans into deliverables, track progress, and manage data. You are versatile and flexible in your ability to coordinate multiple tasks and anticipate and modify your work plans to meet evolving priorities.
