1 – GAMBLER’S TALE – C-1 swamp win 2 back; 1st up in last; returns
at reduced level, but 0-8 this level in 2014; speed, rail & Sears
4 – ALBERTO CONTADOR N – Has raced well this year, but he’s
been out of the box for 4 weeks due to cancellations & is racing
over levels he fits in order to avoid having to qualify
6 – TAURANGA – Good aggressive 1st up bid in YR debut; 3 wins
and 2 breaks in 6 career ½ mile starts (all at odds on on!)
Race 2: N/W $12,000 L6 – EARLY PICK 3 (2-4) – TROT
1 – FORTUNISTA – No shot in 2015 return, but showed some life in
final half; figures to be very tough at this level from rail
5 – ROLLS BLUE CHIP – 10 hole win at swamp (while drifting badly);
racing well with recent class relief & equipment change
4 – CASHONTHEROCS – Led, but tired in Hilltop debut at 8-5 while
finishing 3rd behind good one; nice swamp win three back
Race 3: N/W $18,000 L6 – EARLY PICK 4 (3-6)
3 – THE LADIES MAN – Just missed in last; steps up, but he draws
well again and meets no world beaters tonight
7 – GEORGE JETTISON – Huge effort for 2nd 2 back from 8 hole &
solid 3rd this level behind 2 good ones; 1-30 in 2014-15
1 – OFF LIKA PROMDRESS – Steps up off tough beat; rail & speed
5 – NOB HILL HIGH – Improved effort 3rd; off the pace tonight
Race 4: N/W $25,000 L6 – MIDDLE PICK 3 (4-6)
2 – P H SUPERCAM – 2014 Levy champion nailed late by sharp
horse; goes 8 hole to 2 hole and is pick over strong field
1 – CASIMIR JITTERBUG – 4th in last from outside; will be blasting
here; sharp winner this level two back
3 – BJ’S GUY – Has been racing well while facing better, but draws
outside two solid commodities
Race 7: N/W $32,000 L6 – LATE PICK 4 (7-10)
5 – FAMEOUS WESTERN – Has been unlucky lately, but he’s
been very sharp; expect another big try despite step up
4 – EASY AGAIN – Sharp leave from 7 hole in last, but was
beaten late by tonight’s rail horse
3 – AMERICAN RAGE – Sharp in all 3 2015 tries; Sears’ pick
Race 8: OPEN HDP – LATE PICK 3 (8-10) – TROT
5 – AWSOME VALLEY – Left for seat and rallied well late;
expect aggressive effort akin to two Hilltop wins
1 – SPLITSVILLE – Easy winner in YR return; tested for class
here, but can secure pocket trip behind choice
2 – IN NOMINE PATRI – Tri/super factor with inside draw
4 – ON THE PODIUM – Followed winner into race and grabbed
second; price will be less enticing tonight
Race 9: N/W $18,000 L6 – TROT
5 – SPIDER BLUE CHIP – Steps up off nice win for Norman;
recent form suggests millionaire may be over his issues
1 – DULUTH – Winner for GB from rail last this level; deja vu?
6 – ANDIE SOPHIA – Racing ok, but he’s failed last four this
level; expect Dube to get aggressive tonight

2 – BIGRISK – Steps up off strong second when he pulled
early; Sears’ pick over #8 will be a handful; 5-1 ML
