Job Description Position: European Field Application Specialist Department: European Sales Reporting to: European Sales Director The position requires a technically-oriented and commercially-minded professional with a good working knowledge of the immunoassay market, who will be in charge of all technical aspects of our business in Europe. Company: Biosims develops and manufactures high-performance analytical tools for life sciences industries. Our core technology is Dynaxi. Thanks to Dynaxi, that allows the multiplex quantification of analytes down to the lowest concentrations, Biosims is opening up a new class of research and monitoring. Dynaxi immunoassays are designed to foster research projects in the fields of disease biomarkers, drug discovery, preclinical studies and drug development. Biosims solutions range from the supplying of instruments and assay kits to the custom prototyping of specific assays. Technology: The core of the Dynaxi technology is based on specific proprietary chemistry that has been developed in association with an ionization system. In contrast with other technologies, no light source is used. By preventing wavelength interference, Dynaxi provides real multiplexing without compromising sensitivity or target number, while still allowing any number of experimental combinations. This new approach makes Dynaxi a genuine breakthrough technology, a rare occurrence in this field. It provides no less than ultra-high sensitivity, real multiplexing and a wide dynamic range, all in a one-chip device! Responsibilities Working with the Sales Department, activities will include: Training: first, in conjunction with our ISO9001 SOP, in-depth training will be provided for a minimum of two months in order for you to acquire expert knowledge of the Dynaxi technology Reporting directly to the Sales Director on all technical issues in the given region Giving demonstrations of all Biosims products in conjunction with the RSM Installing and providing training for all future Biosims instruments and applications Acting as the direct contact in Europe for all technical queries regarding current customers projects and queries from future customers. This includes providing technical support to the Sales Department for future instrument sales Establishing a working knowledge of potential Biosims applications in the various customer profiles (pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, CROs, academia, etc.). This includes a thorough understanding of the individual applications and an ability to demonstrate them expertly. It will also require an understanding of the current scientific literature related to each customer in terms of each Biosims application Writing clear and concise reports for evaluations undertaken Assessing customer immunoassay development projects and transferring these assessments to the Biosims Lab Service teams Encouraging sales of Biosims reagents by thoroughly understanding the customer’s needs and directing the customer to assays carried out on Biosims systems Liaising effectively with the Biosims R&D team when technical issues requiring consultation and advice arise. Additionally, providing the Biosims Technical Department with new project data and novel information. The role will also require knowledge of Dynaxi service issues and may involve help in repairing minor problems with instrumentation in the field, if needed Calling and visiting the current customer base so as to keep them up to date on advancements in new technologies and reagents, helping with any technical enquiries and verifying that their data is being analyzed effectively and accurately Experience and Qualifications: Fluent in French and English Experience with immunoassay applications and instruments Technical support experience required Minimum education of a BS from an accredited institution with a major in biology, chemistry or related fields 10+ years’ experience in life science research tools and/or analytical instrumentation Strong technical support track record Experience supporting novel, ground-breaking technologies preferable Firm belief in the potential and value of the Dynaxi technology Team spirit, positive attitude, strong work ethic required Preferably based near Paris, France Willing to travel up to 30-40% of the time Willing to travel to the Biosims headquarters in Rouen, France when required by Managers Package : Full-time position under current French law Base salary (based on current experience) + progressive commission plan Company car Pension Healthcare (dental – eye care) For more information, please visit our website: http://www.biosims-technologies.com/ If interested, candidates should send their CV, in French or English, to: hr@biosims.eu
