On behalf of NACE Dhahran Saudi Arabia Section, NACE West Asia and Africa Area, and the Bahrain Society
of Engineers, it is with great pleasure that we invite you to participate in the 16th Middle East Corrosion
Conference and Exhibition (MECC). The event will be held in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain between
February 8 - 11, 2016.
The MECC has steadily developed since 1979 to become a globally leading conference in the area
of corrosion management. Since inception, the event proved to be an ever evolving platform with
opportunities for industry leaders, corrosion engineers, science researchers, manufacturers, and service
providers to exchange best practices, introduce innovative ideas, expand working network, and showcase
products and services in corrosion prevention.
The 16th MECC is the event for professionals and researchers looking to expand their technical knowledge
and enhance their position in the emerging areas of corrosion management. The event will provide a
comprehensive coverage of latest studies and practical experiences regarding corrosion mitigation
techniques through technical presentations delivered by leading subject matter experts and specialty
workshops highlighting latest technology trends. The exhibition, running concurrently with the conference,
will provide an opportunity to meet, transfer knowledge and network with regional and international experts
with an insight into the latest technology development in products and services.

The 15th MECC witnessed over 120 technical
papers presented over 2 and a half days in three
parallel tracks. The conference also proved an
excellent recruitment vehicle of international talents.
Major regional and universal companies and

in the success of the conference.
The 16th Middle East Corrosion Conference and
Exhibition (16MECC) will be held on February 8th11th 2016, at the Gulf International Convention
Center, Gulf Hotel in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain.
The 16MECC is organized by NACE Dhahran Saudi
Arabia Section and the Bahrain Society of Engineers.
The biennial corrosion conference and exhibition
was launched in 1979 and has accompanied the
development of the Gulf region into becoming the
global capital of reliable energy. It is recognized
as a prime venue for sharing knowledge among
professionals in all areas of corrosion mitigation. The
number of professional and industrial delegates has

Various disciplines of corrosion prevention and
control will be covered in the different sessions of
the technical program. The technical program also
includes workshop sessions on different aspects of
corrosion provided by world authority figures.
The exhibition, running concurrently with the
conference, will provide the stage for the latest
developments in products, solutions and
methodologies in the corrosion industry. The
15th MECC showed progressive growth in terms
of registration, sponsorship, exhibitors and the
presentation of first class technical papers from
the region and around the world with more than
600 registered delegates and 80 exhibitors. The

All around the world we are faced with major challenges to
maintain aging assets. It is also a challenge to design new
facilities using affordable materials. This task is no easy feat
for any country and in particular the Gulf Cooperation Council
states (GCC), which has been established as the world’s capital
of reliable energy and critical source for sustainability of the
world’s economy.
The Technical Committee comprises of known regional figures
in corrosion & material and signifies the diversified and rapidly
growing industrial sector in the GCC states. The technical
program will include a number of workshops covering various
aspects of corrosion addressing latest trends and tools related
to corrosion.

of cancellation by 31st October 2015 or before the issue of last conference brochure, there will be only 20% of the sponsorship/Exhibition fee as
cancellation charges.
If notice of cancellation is received after the issue of last conference brochure or 31st October 2015 the Sponsor/Exhibitor shall be obligated and
agrees to pay a cancellation charge of 50% of the total sponsorship/Exhibition fee. If notice of cancellation is received after 15th December 2015, the
entire sponsorship/Exhibition feeis due as cancellation charge. In the event of cancellation, Organizers has the full right to use the space for its own

Exhibition Information
A technical exhibition will be held in conjunction with the technical sessions within the
conference venue. The exhibition is intended to provide an opportunity for companies,
consulting and research organizations to display and demonstrate their products and services
related to corrosion management.
Details and Benefits
The exhibition stands are 3m wide x 2m deep and 2.4m high. Stand fittings will consist of a
system stand, two fluorescent lights, fascia board in English, one electrical power point and
sufficient tables and chairs. In addition each exhibitor will avail the following benefits:
1)Exhibitor names will be published in the conference website.
2) Exhibitors profile and logo will be included in the Conference Proceedings.
3) Advertising space will be available in the Exhibition Guide.
4) A brief resume (8,10 lines) of each exhibitor will be included in theofficial exhibition guide
which will be circulated to all invited government officials, VIPs, visitors and participating
delegates.
5)Wide publicity will be given in the Gulf Region about the exhibition to attract: Consultants,
Contractors, Government officials and professionals to visit the exhibition booths during
the conference period.
