2015 - 2016 Lodge Elections Schedule
The first meeting of the Nominating Committee was held last month
and the ballot box placed behind the bar along with forms for those
members wishing to seek election. The committee will meet again on
Monday, March 16 to review the eligibility of those seeking office.
Approved candidates will be posted the following day and the full
slate will be announced at our Lodge meeting on Thursday, March
26th.
The following offices will be up for election this year: Governor, Jr.
Governor, Prelate, Treasurer, and 3 Year Trustee.
Only members whose dues are current and in good standing may be considered for elective
office. A member is not eligible to run for office unless his membership in the Lodge equals or
exceeds six (6) months preceding the date of the election.
Eligibility for the office of Governor requires that the candidate must have served at least one
full term (12 months) in another elective office. No elected officer may serve more than two (2)
consecutive terms in any one office.
Note: It is now a requirement that all officers attend the Lodge Leadership and House Committee training. Any member who attended the training session held here at the Lodge last June
have already met the mandate requirement. Any member who is giving consideration to running
for office this year, if elected, needs to complete the training no later than 60 days after taking
office i.e. prior to July 1, 2015. Training certification is good for 3 years.
Duties and responsibilities of each office is posted on the bulletin board in the Social Quarters
and a copy may be obtained from the bar steward on duty.
Election of Officers will be held on Thursday, April 9th. New this year is that we will be
holding a joint installation with the Women of the Moose following our regular meeting on
Thursday, April 23, 2015. Sandwiches with sides will be served afterward.

W.O.T.M. NEWS……
I don’t know about all of you but I am
really tired of this frigid weather so we are
going to start thinking spring and summer.
First off the women will be having a raffle for an Oklahoma Joe’s combination charcoal grill and smoker. Tickets
are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00. This is Shelly Collin’s
project for the Ways and Means Committee. The drawing
will be held April 17, 2015,
Second we will be having a bake sale on St. Patrick’s
Day from 1 p.m. until gone. Donations of baked goods are
needed to help us make this a success.
And thirdly, the Moose Kid’s Easter Party will be held
on Saturday, March 28th from 1 to 3 p.m. Donations of
candy are needed for this. A sign up sheet will be posted
soon.
If you are interested in running for the office of Senior
Regent or Junior Regent please put your name in the box
behind the bar.…..we need your help in order to make our
Chapter the successful chapter it has been in the past. It
does take a lot of work to keep a chapter going but it is
gratifying work knowing that we are taking care of our
children at Mooseheart and Seniors at
Moosehaven….won’t you please help us out and volunteer some of your time.
Our meetings are the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month
at 7 p.m. We would like to see more co-workers attend
and let us know what you want the chapter to be doing in
the up and coming new chapter year.
Please support our Fish Fry on March 13 from 2 pm
until 8 pm.
