Space Grant is looking for Aero, CS, EE, ECE, ME, ATOC or
anyone with an interest in gaining real world hands on experiences. All levels of
experience from Freshman to Graduate students should apply.

Job Title: Electrical Part Analysis
Position #: E01
Project: Lockheed Martin
Available Positions: 2
Description: The student will work with the Design Assurance group at Lockheed Martin. The
student will review electrical part test data, both mechanical and electrical results and insure success
criteria is met before accepting the data and populating a database. This position is interdisciplinary
in nature. The student will also likely develop software tools, likely in VBA, and perform data
analysis. The student will have exposure to hardware and while working with industry engineers.
Minimum Requirements:
US person and ability to travel to Littleton CO during the summer M-F
Ability to continue working during the Fall Semester for roughly 10 hours per week
Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Major or other relevant experience
Good communication skills, professionalism
Data manipulation and coding familiarity within Excel
Good analytical thinking and problem solving skills
Ability to program in VBA or quickly learn
Preferred Experience: Completion of Sophomore level classes
Time Commitment: 40 hours/week during the summer. 10 hours per week, two half days or one
10 hour day during the school year. Option to work up to full time during academic breaks.

Job Title: Program Assistant

Project: National Snow and Ice Data Center Available Positions: 1
Description: We are seeking a Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical
Engineering student at the University of Colorado at Boulder to develop software programs for a
novel autonomous ice-climate-ocean instrumentation system designed to be deployed in the polar
regions. The task will require working with NSIDC science staff and contractor engineers on East
Campus and nearby. Tasks will focus on writing executable scripts to manage sensor arrays, power
management, communication management, etc. for a remote autonomous station. Full-time status as
an undergraduate student at UCB required.

Minimum Requirements:

Linux desktop & embedded systems, toolchain and cross-compiling
C/C++, Python, Perl on embedded Linux systems.
Linux device drivers
Hardware programming down to bare metal
Labview usage and writing, or with similar automation tools
