Why Study Hospitality
The importance of tourism and hospitality in the Alamo City creates a wealth
of opportunities for graduates of both St. Philip’s College and Conrad N. Hilton
College-San Antonio. Worldwide, tourism is an almost $2 trillion industry that
employs more than 100 million people and is expected to generate another
20 million jobs by 2021. San Antonio, regarded as the “Hospitality Capital of
Texas,” is the 7th largest city in the United States and employs roughly 125,000
people in a tourism-hospitality industry that generates more than $14 billion
annually for the local economy.
Hospitality Leadership Certificate
Our Hospitality Leadership Certificate provides a pathway to enter this exciting
industry, or use the knowledge you gain from these classes to further your
current hospitality career!
You can earn your Hospitality Leadership Certificate by completing four
courses at our San Antonio campus. Courses for you to select from include
Human Resource Management, Hospitality Cost Controls, Leadership in
the Hospitality Industry, Managerial Accounting, Hospitality Marketing and
Beverage Management.
Credits can be applied toward a bachelor’s degree in hotel and restaurant
management from the University of Houston’s Conrad N. Hilton College of
Hotel and Restaurant Management.

provided substantial scholarship support for our students. If you are accepted
to our program, you will receive a scholarship!
