TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF TRAVELLERSHIELD
“GUESS THE ADVENTURE SPORT” CONTEST (“Contest”)
The Contest is jointly organised by DBS Bank Ltd (“DBS”) and MSIG Insurance (Singapore) Pte Ltd
(“MSIG”) (collectively, the “Organisers”). By entering the Contest, you agree to be bound by these Terms
and Conditions, which shall form a valid and binding agreement between you and the Organisers.
The DBSSG Facebook page – the Contest requires participants to guess the correct sport and tag three (3)
friends to a featured TravellerShield Charade video post on DBSSG Facebook page.

Eligibility:
1. Only Qualifying Participants are eligible for the Contest. To be a “Qualifying Participant”, you must be a
Singapore citizen or person ordinarily residing in Singapore (including foreigners, holding a valid
employment pass or work permit) aged 18 years and above and who has a valid Facebook account and
participates in the Contest during the Qualifying Period. The Qualifying Period is from 9 March 2015 to
29 March 2015 (both dates inclusive).
2. The following persons are not entitled to participate and are disqualified from the Contest:
(a) Employees of DBS and MSIG and their immediate family members (i.e. spouse and children); and
(b) Employees or staff of advertising and promotional agencies of DBS and MSIG and any other parties
which are directly involved in organising, promoting and/or conducting the Contest, as determined
by DBS.
3. Participation in the Contest is open to individuals only. Corporations or other entities are not eligible to
participate.
Mechanics of the Contest and Prizes:
4. Qualifying Participants are required to send in their entries via the comment fields of a featured
TravellerShield Charade video post on DBSSG Facebook page.
5. Only one (1) entry per Facebook account is allowed for each Contest. (three (3) in total, please refer to
point 8)
6. If you are a Qualifying Participant and you have successfully guessed the sport game and tag three (3)
friends on the featured post, you will receive one (1) Draw chance during the respective Draw qualifying
week as stated in point 8.
7. Chances are non-transferable and cannot be combined with chances accumulated by any other
Qualifying Participants.

8. There will be three (3) weekly lucky draws taking place during the Qualifying Period. Only one (1) winner
will be selected in each week’s lucky draw (each a “Winner”, collectively “Winners”). Each Winner will
receive a GoPro HERO4 Camera and a 32GB SD Memory Card worth S$593.00 (“Prize”). The dates
and qualifying week of each Draw date are as follows:

9. Each person is only entitled to one (1) chance to win a Prize for all three (3) contests. A Qualifying
Participant who has won any Contest post will not be entitled to win a Prize in the remaining Contest
posts.
10. The Draw will be held at 12 Marina Boulevard, DBS Asia Central @ Marina Bay Financial Centre Tower
3, Singapore 018982 (or such other venue as may be determined by DBS) on the date indicated above
or at any dates, and/or venues to be determined by DBS at its discretion. The selection will be
conducted at random by means of a computerised system and witnessed by staff of DBS.
11. The Winners will be notified by DBSSG Facebook page on the respective Announcement Date stated in
point 8 above.
12. The name of the Winners will be published in the comment fields of the featured TravellerShield
Charade video post after the Contest Period (“Notification”) and by participating in the Contest, you are
hereby agreeing to DBS publishing your names on the DBS Facebook page for the purposes of the
Contest.
i) Within fourteen (14) days from the Notification, the Winner is required to submit his/her -- full name
(as in NRIC), NRIC number, email address, mailing address and contact details for verification
purposes to the email provided in the Notification, in order to claim the Prize.
ii) Winners who do not respond with the information as required in the above clause within the
stipulated time period of fourteen (14) days from the date of Notification forfeit their rights to the
Prize.
13. DBS reserves the right to draw any number of reserve "winners" to replace any winner subsequently
disqualified (the number of reserved “winners” and the manner of replacement being at DBS’ discretion).
DBS' decision as to the winners and reserve winners of the Draw shall be final and conclusive.
14. The winner will be notified by ordinary post for the collection of their Prize, and such notification shall be
effective and deemed to have been received by the winner. Prizes are to be redeemed from a merchant
to be determined by DBS. Winner must be present in-person, and must present their winning notification
letter and NRIC for the collection of the Prize.
15. Identification and notification (as may be required) of the winner will be based on NRIC/FIN/Passport
Number and/or email address and/or telephone number as submitted.

16. Any Prize unclaimed after two (2) months of the date of the notification letter will be forfeited without
further notice, and the Prize, or its equivalent value, will be donated to the Community Chest or to
another charity of DBS’ choice. Under no circumstances will the winner have recourse against DBS
once the Prize has been forfeited pursuant to this clause.
17. DBS may without notice or liability to any party:
i. Vary these Terms & Conditions or discontinue the Contest; or
ii. Substitute, withdraw or cancel any Prize without disclosing any reason and without any payment or
compensation whatsoever.
18. By participating in the Contest, all participants agree to release and hold DBS harmless from any and all
liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind to any person or property arising from
or in connection, either directly or indirectly, with the following:
i. The awarding, acceptance, receipt, possession, use or misuse of any of the Prize or parts thereof
awarded pursuant to the Contest; or
ii. The participation in the Contest, or any Prize-related activities including without limitation, any error
in computing any breakdown, or malfunctioning of any computer system or equipment.
19. By opening a Facebook Account and using any services, products or features of Facebook for the
purposes of the Contest (including without limitation, uploading any materials onto these platforms),
each participant is fully liable and responsible for complying with all terms and conditions as may be
imposed by these platforms, and DBS shall not be liable in any way whatsoever for such account and
usage. Comments, photos, and video responses posted to the DBS Facebook page is also subject to
the terms of use of these platforms. Your comments are public and available to anyone visiting these
platforms.
20. DBS will fully cooperate with any law enforcement and government authorities and any judicial or
regulatory orders requesting copies of or information in relation to any postings or content.
21. The participants consent under the Personal Data Protection Act (Cap 26 of 2012) (“Act”) to the
collection, use and disclosure of the participants’ personal data by/to the Organisers, advertising and
promotional agencies of the Contest and such other third party for the purpose of administering the
Contest and the participants confirm that they have read and agree to be bound by the terms of the DBS
Privacy Policy, as may be amended, supplemented and/or substituted by DBS from time to time, a copy
of which can be found on www.dbs.com/privacy.
22. If you provide DBS with the personal data of any third party, you hereby (1) agree on behalf of that third
party to be bound by the DBS Privacy Policy; and (2) consent on behalf of that third party, to DBS’
collection, use, disclosure and processing of his/her personal data in accordance with DBS Privacy
Policy. You warrant that you have obtained the said third party’s prior consent to such collection, use,
disclosure and processing of his/her personal data by DBS and that the personal data that you provide
to DBS is true, accurate and complete.
23. Acceptance of the Prize constitutes consent by the Winners to the Organisers, its advertising and
promotional agencies to do the following:
(a) to use any of the Winner’s personal data;
(b) to engage any of the Winners and use their winning entries
for its for advertising, promotional and publicity purposes in connection with the Contest, without any
compensation to the Winners unless required by law.

24. DBS makes no warranty or representation as to the quality, merchantability or fitness for purpose of the
merchants’ goods and services in respect of the Prizes. Any dispute about the same must be resolved
directly with the merchant. Merchant terms and conditions apply.
25. In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and any brochure, marketing or
promotional material relating to the Contest, these Terms and Conditions will prevail.
26. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by Singapore law and the participants agree to submit
to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
27. A person who is not a party these Terms and Conditions shall have no right under the Contracts (Rights
of Third Parties) Act (Cap 53B) to enforce any of these Terms and Conditions and notwithstanding any
terms herein, the consent of any third party is not required for any variation (including any release or
compromise of any liability) or termination of these Terms and Conditions.
28. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. By
participating in this promotion you agree to a complete release of Facebook from any claims.
