We will also visit the Metropolitan Cathedral, the largest church in Latin America, with its famous Altar of the Kings. Visit avenues and monuments, we also are visiting Our Lady of Guadalupe Basilica, important shrine of Latin America. Then we will visit the old city of Teotihuacan (access not included), where you will be able to walk along the Avenue of The Dead and feel the greatness of the “Place of the Gods” while visiting the Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon. We will also visit a handcraft center where you will be able to acquire Mexican crafts of high quality. There are several restaurants including one with more traditional fare of this area. The Stroll will take you from Avenida Reforma to the Angel of Independence, La Glorieta de la Palma, and La Diana. The spectacular Castle of Chapultepec, overlooks the Constitution Square whit is National Palace and Metropolitan Cathedral. The stroll will finish at the Monument to the Revolution, which was built using part of the iron structure that originally was intended to be the Legislative Palace (its construction spanned from 1933 to 1938) Over time, this monument also became a mausoleum, where now lie the remains of revolutionary heroes such as Francisco I. Madero, Venustiano Carranza, Francisco Villa, Plutarco Elias Calles and Lazaro Cardenas. START TIME 9:00 AM. • Frida Khalo’s Museum • Coyoacán • San Angel Coyoacan is located at the southern area of Mexico City, which is a gorgeous district that still keeps a colonial architecture and picturesque landscape where painted houses of all colors abound as well as an array of coffee shops and enchanting spots for spending an relaxing moment. This part of Mexico city is renowned by its intense cultural life as it features several literary centers, art galleries and the popular Frida Khalo Museum, locally known as The Blue House. During this 4 hour trip, we will visit the San Juan Bautista Church and the downtown area where you can savor optional a steamy and delicious cup of traditional coffee on us, it’s not included in the price. In this tour, we will stop at the Frida Khalo Museum where the famous painter lived with her husband the artist Diego Rivera. You will have the opportunity to admire their beautiful and important work of art. (Access not included in the cost). From there we will proceed to San Angel, a neighborhood with typical Mexican atmosphere where you can admire big old houses, small squares and colorful gardens, a reminiscence of splendor golden years in Mexico and an area usually visited by the elite society.
