Applications can be found in the Counseling Services Office The Ivy League Educational Foundation- Deadline April 13, 2015 Annual awards up to $1,000 given for one year and payable in two installments. Graduating female students who are members of a minority group, residents of Mercer County and enrolling in a college, university or trade school for fall 2015 are eligible to apply. VNA Health Group - Deadline March 27, 2015 Visiting Nurse Association Health Group is pleased to announce that we are once again offering nursing scholarships known as the Mary Ann Christopher Nursing Leadership Scholarship. The Application is available in the Counseling Services Office or online at scholarship@vnagh.org Daughters of Penelope Scholarship - Deadline May 1, 2015 The Daughters of Penelope, Altes 163, is again offering their Annual Scholarship to any graduating senior who is a son or daughter of a steward in good standing of St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Trenton or whose mother is a member in good standing of Altes Chapter. All eligible seniors are urged to take advantage of this opportunity. The Daughters are proud to be able to offer this assistance to our Hellenic youth for the continuation of their education. NJUA Excellence in Diversity Scholarship - Deadline April 11, 2015 NJUA Trade and Vocational School Scholarship - Deadline April 11, 2015 Requirements for eligibility, selection and criteria and application forms for both scholarship programs can be found on the Association’s website www.njua.com Marine Scholarship - Deadline May 1, 2015 The Marine Trades Association of New Jersey (MTA/NJ) is pleased to announce the availability of an Education Scholarship for the 2015-2016 school year. The MTA/NJ is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing, promoting and protecting the recreational marine industry and the waterways in the state of New Jersey. The scholarship is open to any student that is interested in pursuing a career in the recreational boating industry and meets the criteria outlined. Joe Logue Sports Writing Scholarship – Deadline March 20, 2015 In honor of our club founder The Trenton Catholic Boys’ High School Golden Wave Club will award the Joe Logue Sports Writing Scholarship to a senior student who has written about high school sports for the school newspaper or local newspaper and will be attending college next year. This years recipient will receive $1500.00. Applications can be found in the CHS Counseling Services Office. The Pomptonian Food Service – Deadline April 24, 2015 The Pomptonian Food Service Award in the amount of $1,000 is available for students with work experience, have done community service and have financial need. An essay and 2 letters of recommendation are required. Information can be found in the CHS Counseling Services Office. New Jersey Retired Educators Association – Deadline April 1, 2015 The Isabelle M. Hickman Scholarship in the amount of $1,000 is offered to seniors who will graduate from a New Jersey Public High School this year, is in the top 5% of their class and has applied to a four year college. Applications can be found in the CHS Counseling Services Office. The Fred E. Aug 2-year Community College Scholarship in the amount of $500 is offered to students who will graduate from a NJ public high school this year, has been accepted by a community college and has a 2.75 grade point average. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated Trenton Alumnae Chapter – Deadline April 6, 2015 The Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is seeking applicants for its Merit Scholarship and Book Awards to be presented to high school seniors of African descent. Eligible students must plan to attend four-year institutions of higher learning in the 2015-16 school year. Applications can be found in the counseling services office. Stony Brook Garden Club – Deadline April 15, 2015 The Stony Brook Garden Club of the Princeton area announces that an annual award of $1,000 has been established in 2006 by the Petronio family. This scholarship is available to a senior attending a high school in the greater Princeton area who demonstrates a passion for a commitment to environment. He/she must have been actively involved in one or more of the following: research, advocacy, horticulture, protection or improvement of our natural world. The American Legion Auxiliary Department of New Jersey 2015 Grant Application – Deadline April 15, 2015 The Dorothy Kellerman Scholarship and the One Year Department Scholarship applicants must be a child, grandchild or great-grandchild of a Veteran who served in the Armed Forces during eligibility dates of membership in the American Legion. Applications are available in the CHS Counseling Services Office. One main criteria: applicants must be direct descendants of veterans who served during certain periods that are listed on each application. 1. New Jersey State Elks Special Children’s Committee - Deadline April 10, 2015 Two scholarship (one male, one female) available to graduating seniors for the purpose of assisting them in obtaining a college education. Scholarship aid in the form of payment of tuition in an amount not to exceed $2,500 annually for up to four years is offered to students with excellent scholastic standing, general worthiness, financial need, and a physical and/or mental disability including learning disabilities. Fred Baker Memorial Scholarship Fund, Inc. - Deadline March 31, 2015 A scholarship in the name of Corrections Officer Fred Baker who was killed in the line of duty in 1997. One $2000.00 scholarship is given to a student in Mercer County. Each winning student will receive $500.00 per year for each of the four years that they remain in school and meet the criteria as stated below: 1. A student who is pursuing a Career in either Law Enforcement or Fire/Rescue Fields. 2. A student who maintains a GPA of B or higher. 3. The student must also provide proof every semester showing that he or she is still enrolled as a student and that their major is one that pursues a career towards Law Enforcement or Fire/Rescue. If the student fails to do so, the remainder of the Scholarship will be forfeited. Applications can be picked up in the Counseling Services Office. Mercer County School Nurses Association Scholarship - Deadline April 1, 2015 The Mercer County School Nurses Association is excited to offer a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating senior who will continue his/her education in the field of nursing (a Registered Nurse Program). Applications can be found in the counseling services office. ETS Employees’ Community Action Fund (ECAF) - Deadline March 22, 2015 The ETS ECAF Scholarship program was established to assist graduating seniors in the New Jersey public education system in their goal of achieving a higher education degree. Scholarships up to $7,500 will be awarded to selected students who are pursuing a degree from a two or four year accredited schools/colleges/universities or a vocational/technical institution in the United States. This program seeks to help public high school students with need who might not be able to achieve their dream of attending college without the assistance of a scholarship. Janet Logan Daily Foundation Scholarship - Deadline April 1, 2014 The Janet Logan Daily Foundation grants an annual award to one graduating high school senior from New Jersey who enrolls full-time in an accredited university or college within the United States. This scholarship rewards students from varying academic backgrounds who consistently demonstrate responsibility, motivation and positive character within and beyond the classroom. Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.5, actively participate in at least one extracurricular activity, and must have worked an average of 30 hours per week during the summer since the age of 16. Financial need may be considered when selecting the recipient. Applications can be found at http://janetlogandailyfoundation.org/application.asp NJ Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial Foundation Scholarship - Deadline April 17, 2014 The NJ Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial Foundation will be awarding two $2,500.00 scholarships for post-high school education (college, community college, trade school, etc.) Applicants must visit the NJ Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial and write an essay about his/her visit. Applications can be found in the Counseling Services Office. AFSA Scholarship Program – Deadline April 1, 2015 Everyone should apply very easy! To apply, students must go online and read a short essay about sprinklers and fire safety. After finishing, they complete a 10 question quiz on what they just read. Each correct answer gives the student a chance at winning a $2,000 scholarship. Open to high school seniors who are citizens and aliens legally residing in the USA. Scholarship payable to the winner’s college/university or certified trade school in the United States. Student must enroll in semester beginning no later than fall 2015. Winners not based on financial need. Relatives of AFSA staff or board members may not enter. Application online at http://www.afsascholarship.org/hsinformation.html
