Dates to Remember: April 7th: Crawfish Boil Sign ups begin April 8th: Disney make up meeting April 10th: last day to submit t -shirt designs DISNEY TRIP REMINDERS: April 11th: Prom If you did not attend the mandatory Disney meeting, you and your parent are required to come to a make up meeting in the MORNING, 7:00 a.m., of Wednesday, April 8th. April 15th19th: Disney Trip All students going on the Disney Trip must be passing all courses by April 10th and on track for graduation. If there have been any changes in prescription medication since you turned in your permission slip, send all changes to Ms. Forrest at ara.forrest@stpsb.org. Your information will remain confidential. The Disney Trip departs on April 15th. You should arrive between 7:00-7:30 p.m. Facing the gym, girls will enter on the right and boys will enter on the left. Parents must say their goodbyes at the door. Reminder: You are not allowed to bring ice chests and your snacks and drinks must be unopened. Homemade and/or baked goods are not allowed. The Senior Crawfish Boil will be on April 29th. Sign ups will begin April 7th and end on April 21st. You may sign up for the crawfish boil at this link: www.tiny.cc/ MHSCrawfishBoil You must pay Mrs. Simon or Ms. Forrest before April 21st in order to attend the boil. No money will be accepted at the door. If you do not eat crawfish, you can sign up to eat corn/potatoes or just purchase the shirt and drinks. April 10th is the last day to submit Crawfish Boil T-shirt designs. PROM: Prom will be on Saturday, April 11th, 8:00-11:30 p.m. The lock-in begins at 9:00 p.m. Remember there is no front to back dancing. You represent Mandeville High School, your parents and your community. You are expected to conduct yourselves in an appropriate manner. Limousines and Party Buses will be searched upon arrival. Students may be breathalyzed at the discretion of the Administration and/or the St. Tammany Parish Sheriffs. Senior Exams begin on April 24th. The schedule is as follows: 4/24-6th and 7th; 4/27-4th and 5th; 4/28-2nd and 3rd; 4/29-1st and makeups. Senior Academic Awards will be on April 29th in the auditorium at 7:00 p.m. April 21st: last day to sign up for crawfish boil; boil money due April 24th: Exams begin April 29th: 1st Exam and makeups; Crawfish Boil; Academic Awards May 4th: Grad practice May 5th: Cap and Gown pick up May 7th: Graduation!! GRADUATION 2015: Graduation practice is @ 8:00 a.m. at The University Center @ SLU on May 4th. Practice is MANDATORY! Students not participating in Graduation need to make an appointment with Mr. Esker to receive their diplomas. Caps and Gowns will be distributed in the Auditorium on Tuesday, May 5th from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. After that time, they will only be issued on Wednesday, May 6th from 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. from Mr. Esker in Guidance. If your parent picks up your cap and gown, they will also have to stand in line and obtain a clearance slip from the bookkeeper to pick up your graduation supplies. 1. You must have all of your online coursework completed by May 1st. 2. Seniors who have received a scholarship should bring a copy to Mr. Esker by May 1st. 3. Graduation will be on May 7th at The University Center @ SLU. Students must arrive by 6:00 p.m. Parents and other guests are not allowed in the corridor where we line up. The procession will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. Once the procession begins, there will be no admittance onto the floor. 4. The dress code for Graduation is as follows: GIRLS: Cool summer dress or skirt and blouse (no pants or shorts). Shoes are to be black and must have a back or strap. NO flip-flop type sandals (even if they have a strap at the back!!), NO tennis shoes, NO boots! BOYS: Black Dress slacks, WHITE collared dress shirt, preferably short sleeves (it’s hot); tie (no bolos or bow ties); black dress shoes or boots, and dark socks (a must). NO jeans, NO khaki pants, NO sandals, NO tennis shoes, or other sport shoes will be allowed. Young men should be clean-shaven and hair length in compliance with School Board dress code. PROJECT GRADUATION: Registration for Mandeville Project Graduation is currently underway! The 2015 Party is held Graduation Night from 11 p.m.—6 a.m. at the Castine Center. The cost of entry has increased to $50. Your registration includes a t-shirt, which must be worn that night, games, entertainment, pictures with friends, food, and a chance to win some great prizes. For an additional $10 fee, you can order a party DVD. Check your Senior Parent Information packet for a registration form. Contact mhspg1@gmail.com for more information.
