This Week’s SOAP from Pastor Dale
Scripture: Zechariah
Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout in triumph, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your
King is coming to you; He is righteous and victorious . . . Return to a stronghold,
you prisoners who have hope; today I declare that I will restore double to you.
Observation: The coming of the Messiah was not a secret. God had telegraphed or
prophesied consistently that He was going to intervene. Isaiah 59:15-16 states, "Truth
is missing, and whoever turns from evil is plundered. The Lord saw that there was no
justice, and He was offended. He saw that there was no man - He was amazed that
there was no one interceding; so His own arm brought salvation, and His own
righteousness supported Him."
The Lord expected His people to believe the present and the future reality of
His redemption spiritually and emotionally. With a strong emphatic command He tells
them to rejoice greatly and shout in triumph!
Application: I sometimes struggle understanding when a specific passage may apply
directly to me and my situation. Jesus surprised people when He made direct
application of Old Testament passages to Himself. Although there is much room for
error, and even heresy, I will seek to hear from God through the proper study of His
Word. I will rejoice in His promises and provisions.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for all the ways you give me to celebrate
who You are and all the reasons to celebrate what You have done.
Today, I especially want to celebrate all the things You are going to
do in the future. I praise the name of my Redeemer and in His name
– Jesus, I pray. Amen.

With compelling honesty John
Stott confronts this generation
with the centrality of the cross
in God's redemption of the
world. Can we see triumph in
tragedy, victory in shame?
Why should an object of
Roman distaste and Jewish
disgust be the emblem of our
worship and the axiom of our faith? And what does
it mean for us today?
The Cross of Christ offers theology at its readable
best, a contemporary restatement of the meaning
of the cross. At the cross Stott finds the majesty
and love of God disclosed, the sin and bondage
of the world exposed. Stop by and purchase a
copy from the Resource Center today!

Seminary Advantage
God has called all of us to some level of ministry. Whatever ministry the Lord is
calling us to, we need to be equipped for the task. For some, this may mean
taking educational courses for seminary, though going back to school can create
a lot of challenges.
We now have an option for training and education that will help us confidently
answer the call to ministry.
Seminary Advantage is a one year program where you can receive a sound
foundation in practical theology. Sign up for the entire program or just take one
course at a time.
Classes will be held Monday evenings from 6 PM to 10 PM beginning April 6.
Financing options are available and Seminary Advantage is now accepted for 30
credit hours at Palm Beach Atlantic University. Please speak to Jeff Lee for more
information. 561-345-5382 or Sa1Jefflee@gmail.com
Make plans now to enjoy dinner
on the patio with your family and
friends before Kids Praise, Awana,
Area 51, and Bible Study class
each Wednesday evening.
Meals begin at 6:00 PM.
Tonight’s dinner will be subs and
chips.
Next week’s meal will be chicken
lasagna.
All meals are $5.00 per person.

THIS IS the STORY,
THIS IS the SONG
“In Christ Alone”
By Stuart Townend & Keith Getty
In Christ alone my hope is found
He is my light, my strength, my
song. This Cornerstone, this solid
ground, firm through the fiercest
drought and storm…
Stuart Townend and Keith Getty met
at a worship event through a mutual
friend in 2000. After resolving to work
together on a few songs Keith sent
Stuart three different melody ideas
that he had written. Stuart describes
the first that he listened to as a
haunting melody that he loved. He
knew instantly that it was memorable
and had an enduring quality about it.
In response, Stuart decided that
whatever lyrics were written also
needed to be enduring, that they
needed to tell the story of Christ. He
particularly wanted to convey what
Christ has done and what that means
in the life of a believer. Stuart asserts,
“We so often try to pin our hopes on
how well we are doing, but the whole
message of grace is that it is not
dependent at all on how well we do,
but rather what Jesus has done. It is
not about how good or bad I am, not
about whether I am successful or if I
fail, everything is dependent on who
he is!”
Stage Décor and Handyman Opportunity
The Worship Arts is currently looking for volunteers to help with
staging. If you are have experience with staging, power tools,
woodwork or just have artistic eyes, this might be a great
opportunity for you. For more information contact Pastor Will.

Children’s Sunday Morning News
AWANA will resume tonight! Can’t wait
to see you there!
Make sure to pick up your derby cars if
you have not done so already! AWANA
Grand Prix will take place in April.
Scripture paints a beautiful picture of the family and of God’s heart for discipleship at
home (see Deuteronomy 6:4-7). The family is God’s original small group! It is our goal
at FBCRPB and in the Children’s Ministry to equip you as parents to accomplish God’s
design of generational discipleship. Over the next few weeks we will offer you a few
suggestions of ways you can pray for your children:

Spring Thing Update
For twenty-two of our middle and high school students, Spring Break
2015 consisted of yard work and pressure cleaning, with a huge
amount of fun. These young men and women served our neighbors by
helping them get their property back to a place of compliance with the
Village of Royal Palm Beach Code Enforcement. We played some
pretty serious games of Frisbee at Commons Park, basketball at the
church, had a great time at The Rapids Water Park, and it was capped
off with a ‘rockin’ Worship Night with Geoff D.
The Spring Thing was another joint effort between FBCRPB and Palm
Beach County Youth for Christ. As a church, we are blessed by this
partnership with YFC, as they are reaching out to the students of our
public schools with the hope of a lifelong relationship with Jesus.
Please remember them in your prayers, that the Lord will continue to
show them favor on our school campuses.
Summer Camp at Teen Valley Ranch
It’s not too late to sign up for Summer Camp. We are going back to Teen Valley
Ranch in the Blue Ridge Mountains from July 12-18, 2015. It is going to be another
AMAZING week and space is limited, so don’t miss it. The cost is $450, but there is
still a lot of time for your child to earn that money. Let them get creative and
encourage them to work (it’s good for them)! Students, you can sign up at the
Wednesday Night Youth Service or directly with Pastor Tate.
