Apsley Central Public School Karen Brohart, Principal Building Success For All Earle’s Self Storage 2133 Hwy 620 Coe Hill 613-337-5184 earleexcavating@gmail.com We must always remember to give thanks. On behalf of everyone at Apsley Central P.S., I would sincerely like to thank all who contributed to our ‘Igloo Project’. The funds raised will support our Literacy / Numeracy Programs. Special thanks is extended to Carolyn Amyotte and all members of our school community who helped with this amazing project. Heartfelt efforts truly provide needed resources for our deserving children. I would also like to thank Frank Pacheco, Susan Smith and all of the Judges for hosting an excellent opportunity for several of our students to participate in the Speech Contest at the Legion. The Legion has outstanding leadership and we are proud to be ‘Community Partners’ with them. The names of the award recipients will be published in the next Informer, our monthly school newsletter, as we celebrate all students for their courage to engage in public speaking. Public Speaking is an art and requires nurturing, support and guidance in all areas of language development. It also helps to strengthen mindfulness and self-esteem. Special acknowledgement is given to Mrs. Diane Jeff for her leadership regarding this initiative, and to all of the Teachers who worked very diligently to support all of our children in their fine efforts. Community Care, is another one of our dedicated ‘Community Partners’. We are so grateful for all of the extra clothing they provide to our school. They work hand-in-hand with the devoted Lion’s Club Members who have also made significant contributions to the curriculum programs/Arts events that we have been able to offer. They are truly respected and appreciated for their ongoing support! Our parents and volunteers deserve our eternal gratitude and without them, we wouldn’t have our precious children. All work so hard to be active and extended Council Members regarding fundraising, providing the ‘Breakfast For Learning’ program and volunteering their time and energy to enhance our ‘Apsley’ Team. Our caring Bus drivers safely bring and take our students home daily, and for this and their delightful sense of humour and kindness, we greatly appreciate them! Drop boxes at Woodview Office & Apsley Pharmacy Respectfully Submitted to all who do make a real difference each and every day. In Partnership, Karen Brohart, Principal Bringing the Voices of the Kawarthas to You Page 11
