Gabe has a wealth of knowledge on a wide variety of crops, as well as having strong relationships with growers throughout California and Latin America. We think his experience and management will make our expanding growing programs even stronger”, said Mark Munger, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Since graduating from the University of San Francisco with a degree in Business Administration, Gabriel Avalos has accumulated over 12 years experience in the produce industry. While with Salinas based River Ranch Fresh Foods, he worked with the sales team buying, as well as managing supply and demand forecasting. Gabe also worked for Driscoll’s as part of their Product Business management team, first managing their blueberry business in North and South America, later transitioning to Latin America Blueberry Business Management. Gabe also managed and expanded Driscoll’s distribution into emerging markets in the EU and Asia, including China. 4EARTH FARMS decided on opening a grower management office to improve synergies with their grower partners. “We believe that providing the freshest produce begins in the field”, said 4EARTH FARMS’ CEO David Lake. “Having Gabe and an office centrally located to our California fields and working closely with our international grower partnerships, simply improves our ability to provide up to the minute crop reporting, as well as assisting with supply coordination for our customers. These are all critical elements for maintaining the year-round programs we’ve built our company’s reputation on”. “Improving communication with our grower partners also helps with new opportunities in crop selections, like our new Kalettes program, for example”, added Mr. Munger. “Our strong grower relationships helped create the environment to make a new crop program like Kalettes come to fruition. We look forward to having Gabe introduce more growers to our capabilities and expanding our opportunities and partnerships”. ### 323.201.5800 • fax: 323.201.5780 • 5555 E.
