“My top priority is to remain focused on what clients really want:
dedication and timely feedback. This approach ensures client
satisfaction and has allowed me to maintain and expand meaningful
long-term professional relationships.”
Joining MacKay LLP in 2004, Heather’s primary role is associate partner
where her main responsibilities include providing accounting, audit
and tax services within the Entrepreneurial group of the Vancouver
office. Heather specializes in assisting professionals - doctors, lawyers
and dentists – with their compliance work and tax planning. She
also conducts audits for a variety of industries, including mortgage
investment corporations and not-for-profit organizations. In addition
to her client responsibilities, she is a member of the firm’s training and
personnel committees, and is part of the Quality Control team.
Prior to joining MacKay LLP, Heather gained extensive knowledge
and experience while working at two offices of an international firm
over the course of 10+ years. During this time, she served in multiple
roles, from articling student to senior manager.
Heather has earned the title of trusted advisor among her clients.
She has done this by providing proactive, detailed and dedicated
service. Her pragmatic approach to client service has been the key
factor to meeting her client’s financial goals.
Heather grew up in the Vancouver area, but spent a few years in the
Fraser Valley while obtaining her CA. She now resides in Vancouver
with her husband and son. In her free time, she enjoys playing golf,
doing yoga and attending her son’s soccer games.
