Monday Note
BUS DRIVERS NEEDED
Adams Christian School is in need of bus drivers. If you
would like more information about these positions, please contact
Melissa Looyenga at 530-2933 or mel815@att.net.
KINDERGARTEN TESTING
Testing for next year’s Kindergarten students will be
conducted tomorrow and Thursday, with Kindergarten Roundup
held the following Tuesday, April 28, at 9:30.
HOT LUNCH
Hot lunch this Wednesday is chicken strips, assorted chips,
and ice cream novelties. Helpers are Karen Langerak and Judy
Kamps at 11:20, and Pamela Kaptein at 11:30.
Hot lunch menus for May will be sent home today and are
due back no later than Wednesday. No late orders will be accepted.

Snack sale will be provided by the 7 grade, Groups B & C.
REPORT CARDS
Report cards will be sent home Wednesday with students
in grades 4 – 8.
STAFF APPRECIATION LUNCHEON
Our Staff Appreciation Lunch is THIS Friday! A big thanks
to these ladies who signed up to monitor the following rooms:
Kindergarten-Maria Van Dyke, 1A-Rachel Feenstra, 1B-Amanda
Jabaay, 2nd-Jessica Van Dyke, 3rd-Becky Butgereit, 4th-Rebekah
Kuiper, 5th-Janna Huisken, 6th-Michelle Bodbyl, 7th-Tressa Lubbers,
8th-Melissa Lubbers, and the Office-Joyce Boverhof. Plan on being
in the classroom from 11:50 until 1:00.

from 11:00-1:00 and the ever popular bake sale will begin at 9:00.

CCHS CRAFT SHOW

SAVE THE DATE for the 13 annual Covenant Christian
High School Craft Show (formerly held at Adams Christian School) on
Saturday, October 31 from 9:00-3:00. Over half the booths are
already filled! Spaces are filling up quickly! Admission is $1 for high
school and older, lunch and baked goods will be available for sale.
All proceeds to benefit the band and boosters programs at CCHS. For

CCHS BASEBALL GAMES
This Friday the Varsity Baseball team of CCHS will be
hosting Kalamazoo Christian in a double header at 5/3 Ball Park.
First pitch is at 5:00. This is a great opportunity for our athletes to
play at one of the best facilities in West Michigan. Bring the family,
support our team, and have a good time hanging out at the ball
park.
Tickets for this event are $5, and can be purchased at the
school office. Revenue from ticket sales purchased at Covenant go
directly to CCHS! Tickets can be purchased at the ball park, but
profits are shared.
We are looking for a couple of people to take admissions
at the game, starting at around 4:00. If you are able to help out,
please let us know.
If you or your business would like to help sponsor this
event to help cover the costs, we are selling “inning sponsorships”.

GIRLS SOCCER
SE PRC YOUNG PEOPLE’S BREAKFAST
~game tomorrow at Adams vs. Heritage at 4:00.
~game Wednesday at Adams vs. Jenison Christian at 4:00.
~game Friday vs. Calvin Christian at 4:00. Game will be played at
Morren Memorial Fields off of Ivanrest and Rivertown
Parkway. Park next door at Fellowship CR Church. Drivers
are Mandy Velthouse, Becky Butgereit, Ruth Baas, and
Alisa Snippe.
Southeast PRC Young Peoples Society is hosting a
breakfast this Saturday from 8:00-10:30. Come out and join us at
Adams gym for egg casseroles, pancakes and baked goods. All
proceeds will go to the young people to help with the cost of the
convention.
BOYS BASEBALL
~game tomorrow at Adams vs. Hope at 4:00.
~game Thursday at Allendale Christian at 4:00. Drivers are Jessica
Dykstra, LaRae Kamps, Gwennan Engen, and Pam Cleary.

Sales as usual this week, Tuesday morning from 8:30-9:30.
All orders placed before 9:00 will be filled and sent home with your
kids. We are excited to see the online sales continuing to increase.

AMAZING RACE
Plan to join us on Saturday, May 2 for our Amazing Race
fundraiser! This year we will be taking a trek “around the world” full
of clues, challenges, fun photos and more! The race will begin at
4:00 and end at Adams School for supper and fellowship. Email
Rachel at rachelfeenstra@gmail.com or call 560-3030 to sign up.
Thanks to all who have volunteered to help with donations
or working the night of the race! We could use a couple more
volunteers for the night of the race. Contact Renae VK (570-0692) if
you’re able to help. Cash donations can be sent in at any time and
put in the fundraiser box by the front entrance!

The Spring Flea Market at Hope School is May 2 from 9:003:00. We have a wide variety of vendors and with Mother's Day just
round the corner, you are sure to find something unique. Donuts
AUSSIE BURGER FRY
Trinity Young People’s Aussie Burger Fry and Bake Sale is
scheduled for this Saturday at Heritage from 5.00-6.30. All proceeds
will benefit the young people attending the convention.
SAVE THE DATE!
The Byron Center Young People are hosting a hanging
basket flower sale on Saturday, May 9, at Adams Christian School,
from 9:00-1:00. Mark your calendars, and come buy your baskets
for your mothers, or your garden!
CALVIN COLLEGE CAMPS
Calvin College will be offering a number of fun,
educational camps this summer for students who will have

completed 5 -8 grade by June. Chemistry Camps will be half-day,
one-week camps and will be held during the weeks of July 6, 13, and

Academic Camps for Excellence (ACE) are full-day camps
for students who enjoy academic challenges. There are camps in
Physics, Chemistry, Imaginary Worlds (computers) and Advanced
