This has, in part, proved to be an improvement on using the nave and the chancel arch. Having reflected on that experience, I think it would now be helpful to revisit the Faxfleet Aisle as the place for celebrating an early morning communion service. The development of our preschool ’Small Saints’ service, the relocation of the Music Group to the chancel for the 10.45am services and the intention of offering a midweek Communion service, have all influenced the idea of using the Faxfleet Aisle each Sunday for the 8.00am service. All Saints JCC are supportive of these developments and I am suggesting a three month trial period. Initially I had hoped to introduce the new arrangement this Sunday 7th June, however for technical reasons we will now aim for the 14th June. I will also use this development to vary the liturgy. As was the practice prior to offering an 8.00am service each Sunday of the month, we will use the BCP on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month and adopt the Common Worship order on the 1st, 3rd Sundays. Where there is a 5th Sunday the BCP order will be used. Revd Mike Proctor Small Saints Small Saints is a new mini service for pre-school children and their carers and is held in Church each Tuesday just prior to Buggy Bunch, we start at 1.30pm.
