Mariana Fagnilli, JD, LLM Diversity Executive Health Policy, Corporate Affairs Johnson & Johnson Mariana Fagnilli is a native of Buenos Aires, Argentina and moved to the United States in 2001. She holds a bachelor and Juris Doctor degrees from Universidad de Buenos Aires, where she also obtained a specialization in International and Public Law. She also holds a Master of Laws from The University of Miami. Mariana acts as a liaison for the Latin America business units in her role as Latin America Policy Lead in the Global Regulatory Policy and Intelligence department of Janssen Pharmaceuticals, a Johnson & Johnson company. In this role, Mariana brings her knowledge and perspective of the region’s rapidly-changing political and business environments to provide policy and intelligence support regarding the Latin America region. Mariana has over fifteen years of experience, including six years in the regulated healthcare industry, during which time she built strategic alliances across the United States and Latin America to support business, legal and compliance programs. Mariana also worked for Johnson & Johnson Government Affairs & Policy, providing support to the Latin America Consumer group. Prior to joining Johnson & Johnson, Mariana served as Associate General Counsel and International Legal Counsel for Velocitel, Inc. a wireless communications company headquartered in Irvine, CA. Since 2007 Mariana has been involved in Johnson & Johnson’s Hispanic Employee Resource Group (HOLA) where she has served in positions of increasing responsibility, including founding and chairing the Massachusetts chapter, as well as the Diversity Council of DePuy-Synthes' franchise. After serving as Chair of HOLA’s Senior Leadership Team and its Center of Excellence for seven years, Mariana was recently appointed to the HOLA Board of Directors. In this position, she has the opportunity to oversee HOLA’s global strategic plans and to provide support in a wide range of areas specifically, as it relates to Strategic Alliances and Partnership building in support of business impact activities, leadership growth, and corporate social responsibility and healthcare disparities. In 2013 Mariana was recognized as one of Fortune 500 Young Hispanic Corporate Achievers by the Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility for her leadership qualities at Johnson & Johnson and her continued commitment to the Hispanic community. The same year Mariana was also accorded Honorable Mention in the LATINA Executive of the Year Program, based on her evident excellence in corporate leadership, mentorship, and her remarkable dedication to working with the Hispanic communities both nationally and internationally.
