Bellerive bus 9:30am to 2:30pm 50 6 This excursion became one of our favourites before we even made it in the door - and it's not hard to see why. I was going to say that there's "more fun than you could poke a stick at", but you couldn't. They wouldn't even let you in the door with a stick. It would end badly. Week 1 July 07, 2015 "Rita + Dita and the Pirate" at the Peacock Theatre! Salamanca bus 10:30am to 3:30pm Here at Hutchins, we're always looking for opportunities to take the kids to the theatre. Rita + Dita is the tale of two kids sent on a remarkable adventure. We don't know much more than that, but given that it involves piracy, it must be awesome! July 08, 2015 Dodges Ferry Boat Park & BBQ Dodges Ferry bus 10:30am to 3:30pm Now here's a new one - Dodges Ferry has a new Boat Park, and it's awesome! Bring your skateboards and scooters (helmets required!) and go nuts! There's a huge playground too, and lots of space for games! July 09, 2015 PCYC Huonville Huonville bus 10:30am to 3:30pm PCYC Huonville is another of our favourite excursions - primarily because there's just so much to do. Pool tables, table tennis, xbox, retro games, a play gym, ball pits, indoor cricket, indoor soccer, basketball, netball… it's a full on fun-fest! July 10, 2015 Sandy Bay Boat Park & Hot Chips Sandy Bay bus 10:30am to 2:30pm Sandy Bay Boat Park has one of our favourite playgrounds (so much to do!), a huge grassy area for ball games, and lots of hungry seagulls. We're going to eat hot chips, and we're not even going to share… because the seagulls down there are fat enough as it is. Seriously. It's a real concern. July 13, 2015 Bonorong Wildlife Park Brighton bus 10:30am to 3:30pm Bonorong Wildlife Park has been one of our favourite destinations for a long time. Not content with that, though, the good people at Bonorong continue to innovate, and to improve their already fantastic conservation efforts. Plus, who doesn't love patting kangaroos? July 14, 2015 YMCA Fit & Fun Centre Glenorchy bus 10:30am to 2:30pm Week 2 Ball pits, cannons, jumping castles and a massive play gym. It's guaranteed fun! (Village People are not optional, and will not be tolerated under any circumstances). July 15, 2015 Russell Falls Bushwalk & BBQ Mt. Field bus 10:00am to 4:00pm We love the Russell Falls bushwalk. Last time we visited, we promised the kids we'd try Horseshoe Falls the next time around (that's the next one up the hill). Better pack some good shoes, 'cause it's quite the trek! July 16, 2015 Village Cinemas: The Minions Eastlands bus 10:30am to 3:30pm West Hobart Skate Park West Hobart bus 10:30am to 2:30pm Bring your skateboards, scooters and helmets, and get ready to skate! The skate park in West Hobart has a huge concrete area to skate on, plus an awesome bowl, too - and for those who don't like to skate, there's always the park and grassed area for games! July 17, 2015 sign for permission: Crocs Play Centre is the newest play gym in Hobart, and we're just itching to visit! It has a huge play gym, giant jumping cushion, climbing nets, ball cannons, trampolines, slides, and so much more, and it looks awesome . 30 4 sign for permission: 35 4 sign for permission: A Few Important Notes: - Please do send your children with some food, and a drink, even on days where lunch is provided. It's always better to have too much, than not enough! Please note also that on days where skateboards and/or scooters are allowed, children will not be permitted to skate or ride without a helmet on. All indoor play centres require children to wear socks. Electronic devices (iPhones, iPads, gaming devices etc.) are not permitted at Vacation Care. Please ensure that your children are prepared, dressed and equipped appropriately for each day that they attend. Treat money, where listed on the program, is only ever OPTIONAL, and is limited to $2.50.
