BOARD OF DIRECTORS ANNOUNCEMENT
Background
Arlington Neighborhood Villages (the Villages) is a startup charitable 501(c)(3) organization established
to provide Arlington County seniors the option of remaining in their homes and communities as they age
– safely, independently, and with an enhanced quality of life. Village membership is available to all
residents of Arlington County who are 55 years of age or older – regardless of where they live or their
ability to pay the annual membership fee. The Villages is a volunteer-based organization with a parttime Program Manager who is the only paid staff member at this time. After two years of planning the
Villages began full operation in April 2014. As we approach our first year anniversary we have 107
