About the Training Session The two-day Capsim® Train the Trainer session is designed for both academic professors and professional management trainers. The training builds understanding and skills of the mechanics underlying Capsim®’s Capstone® and Foundation® simulations. Other training topics include advanced round debriefing, student grading and supporting assurances of learning for accreditation efforts. Lastly, we will introduce Capsim®’s newest simulation, GlobalDNA. About the Trainer Ranan de Jesus, Chicago-based Capsim® trainer, will deliver his training during our ‘Train the Trainer’ session in Bangkok, Thailand. He has been a consultant and trainer at Capsim® for 12 years. Ron is an expert on all of Capsim® simulations and is experienced in integrating them into both the academic and corporate environments. In his work, Ron provides consultancy to top business schools including, Harvard Business School, Wharton, UC Berkeley, Syracuse University, and Kelley School of Business. He is also keen in delivering training to Fortune 500 firms, including Goldman Sachs, GE, Allstate, Caterpillar and Johnson & Johnson. He will also be supported by several regional professors who currently use Capsim® in there courses. Who should attend? Capsim® trainings are great for new or experienced users as well as those looking to learn more about business simulations as educational tools. The seminar will answer a range of questions relating to our business simulations and assessment tools: How do I incorporate a simulation into an existing class structure? Can the simulations fit into a compressed schedule? Can the simulations be used in an online setting? What do I need to get started? How do I get support when I need it? How will the simulations help with outcome assessment goals? What should I do to prepare for the simulation? Do I need technical abilities to run a simulation? What sort of decisions do students make? How do I control the pace of the simulation? How do I interpret results? How do I grade a simulation? Training Venue and Registration Fees The two-day training will take place at the Davis Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand. Lunch, coffee breaks and all materials will be provided. Special rates for hotel accommodations are available if needed. Registration fees are $699 USD per participant with early bird rates of $549 USD if paid before April 30th, 2015.
