Beyond Databases, Architectures and Structures (BDAS) is a series of conferences that intends to give the state-of-the-art of the research that satisfies the needs of modern, widely understood database systems, architectures, models, structures, and algorithms focused on processing various types of data. The aim of the conference is to reflect the most recent developments of databases and allied techniques used for solving problems in a variety of areas related to database systems, or even go one step forward - beyond the horizon of existing databases, architectures and data structures. In particular, we expect to focus the Conference scope on the issues divided into thematic groups presented on the next page. Topics of interest Paper submission and Proceedings include but are not limited to: Database architectures Big data Relational databases Data warehouses and OLAP Stream databases Multidimensional databases Distributed databases Fuzzy databases Object-oriented databases Catalog databases Temporal and spatial databases Mobile databases XML and semi-structured data Designing, formal models and database usage Query languages and optimization Metadata management Data management in cloud computing UML in designing databases Performance of data processing Protocols, security and control of data integrity Algorithms, data exploration and knowledge bases Knowledge bases Expert systems and artificial intelligence Data mining and knowledge discovery Data extraction and data integration Image and music processing Fuzzy sets and rough sets Ontologies Multi-agent systems Social networks Database systems and applications Databases in the Web Databases in management and production (MRPII/ERP/PLM) Business Intelligence Databases in bioinformatics and biomedicine Geographic Information Systems (GIS) New applications, systems and usage areas Authors are kindly encouraged to submit their papers (no longer than 10 pages) in LNCS/CCIS style via conference submission system. Only PDF files are required during the initial submission. For final versions LaTex sources will be required. Submitted papers should contain the high quality, original work. They should not be published elsewhere and should not be under the revision of any other conference or journal during the review time. The papers will be reviewed by international experts. Accepted papers will be included in the conference proceedings, published by Springer-Verlag in CCIS series (Communications in Computer and Information Science). All accepted CCIS papers must be presented by one of the authors who must register for the conference. All papers accepted to the BDAS Conference are published. BDAS articles were always assembled in conference proceedings published by leading publishing houses. Springer-Verlag is a world-wide publisher of conference proceedings. All accepted CCIS papers will be abstracted (indexed) by DBLP, EI, Scopus and will be submitted for the inclusion in ISI Proceedings and Inspec. These papers should be available in the Web of Knowledge (Web of Science) database. However, the availability is with one year delay and is up to decision of service owner. To guarantee publishing an article in the conference proceedings the authors should improve the manuscript according to the suggestions of reviewers and pay the conference fee. For each article it will be also required to sign and send a copyright form. This form will be provided by conference organizers. Authors of accepted papers will have the opportunity to present their work during the Conference. Presentations will be possible during plenary sessions (multimedia, oral presentation) or poster session. Authors can suggest their preferred form of presentation during paper submission, but the final decision is made by Program Committee. We cordially invite you to take part in the BDAS!
