March 6, 2015
On behalf of the Metropolitan Community College-Penn Valley Office of the President we
would like to invite you to the Back to Sisterhood; Women’s Leadership Summit on
Thursday, April 30, 2015 on the campus of the Metropolitan Community College in
Kansas City, Missouri.
The Back to Sisterhood; Women’s Leadership Summit is designed to address issues facing
African American and Latino young women in their communities as well as leadership
roles and responsibilities in high school and on college campuses. Special focus will be
placed on initiatives that can be worked through coaching and mentoring and program
development for student leaders.
This means that this conference is also designed for high school (junior and senior) young
women focusing on college preparation and emerging leaders that are looking for
resources and programs that will assist them with issues like civility, relationshipbuilding, responsibility to the community, and of course academic success.
In this packet you will find the registration form. Your prompt response will assist us in
the planning for this summit. Please take time to complete the requested forms and return
it to us by April 17, 2015. Please note that there is limited space and you should register
