HEALTH AND SAFETY
IN THE EVENT OF FIRE
IN THE EVENT OF A MEDICAL EMERGENCY
Should you hear the signal to evacuate, please
leave immediately by the nearest exit.
If you are using a mobile phone or dialing from
an outside line, dial 408 748 7100 or DIAL 911
directly then call security at 408-748-7100
The assembly point is located outside the front of
the building near the Fountain area.
If you are using an in-house phone dial these
extensions.
Do not stop to collect personal belongings and do
not use the lifts.
Security:408-748-7100
The fire alarm sound for the building is a two
stage alarm. In areas where you may be required
to be on “stand-by” you will hear a claxon alarm.
In the event of an accident or an emergency
contact a member of staff or dial these numbers.
Fire: 7100
When you reach the assembly point, remain there
and await further instruction.
First aid is available by calling the security officer
on 408-748-7100
IF YOU DISCOVER A FIRE
In the case of any emergency situation you must
follow instructions given by the venue staff.
Raise the alarm by: breaking the nearest break
glass point/ operating the nearest pull station or
dialling ‘7100’ on the telephone and stating the
location of the fire to the operator.
Please leave by the nearest exit and go to the
assembly point and await further instruction.
Arrangements for disabled evacuation are as
follows: the emergency response team and
Santa Clara fire department.
If you have any queries about the fire procedure
or you require special assistance in any of the
above circumstances then please approach a
member of staff.
For both safety and security purposes ensure
that gangways and fire exits are kept
unobstructed at all times and that personal
items are kept with you.
NB. If you see anything suspicious then
report it immediately to a member of staff

DIAMOND SPONSOR
Nordic Semiconductor – A global leader in Bluetooth Smart wireless solutions
Stand 16
Meeting Room 1
The world is witnessing a wireless revolution on a scale never before experienced
in global technology industry and on-trend to break all previous growth and
adoption rate records.
It is being driven by the evolution of Bluetooth Smart® (formerly known as
Bluetooth low energy) ultra-low power wireless technology leveraging the ubiquity,
computing power and user interfacing simplicity of modern smartphones and
apps, and the on-going growth of the Internet including rapidly-expanding highspeed cellular networks (3G and 4G) as well as cloud and connected services.
Ultra low power and Bluetooth Smart wireless technology is changing how
entire industries work, and enabling brand new applications and products, such
as wearables, that even a few years ago would have been technologically or
commercially impossible. It’s also being embedded into quite literally everything: a
trend that has been dubbed ‘The Internet of Things’ (or ‘IoT’ for short).
And sitting right in the middle of it all, with the world’s leading range of ultralow power (ULP) proprietary and Bluetooth Smart wireless solutions is Nordic
Semiconductor that has sold over 1 billion ULP wireless chips to date.
How did a small Norwegian company come to occupy such a coveted position?
Well the reality is it never really lost it, having almost single-handedly pioneered
the development of ultra-low power wireless during the early 2000s, and later
becoming a key contributor in the creation and evolution of the ultra-low power
Bluetooth Smart wireless standard.
Since then Nordic has worked tirelessly to continually define and re-define the
leading edge of the ULP wireless market with each successive new product
generation launch culminating in its latest nRF51 Series single chip Bluetooth
Smart solution which even three years after its launch no competitor has yet
managed to match.
Nordic’s quarterly news and technology magazine the “ULP Wireless Q” keeps
you up-to-date on what’s happening within Bluetooth Smart, ANT+, and Nordic
RF proprietary wireless technology.

stand out from the crowd in this Connected World.
Our History- doing the impossible
CSR is a company of explorers. We go beyond limits. We expand opportunities.
We are never intimidated by the seemingly impossible. In fact, we thrive on it.
In 1999, a small group of engineers had a Big Idea – to create a Bluetooth®
product on a single chip. Everyone said that it couldn’t be done, but they went
ahead and did it anyway.
Today, our company has extended its reach beyond world-leading expertise in
Bluetooth® technology, to become a diversified platform provider at the very
center of the Internet of Things (IoT).
We’re a FTSE250 company with over 2,200 people at 23 offices in 10 countries
and count many of the world’s most desirable consumer electronics and
automotive brands as our customers.
We help device manufacturers bring industry-changing new ideas to market
quickly, with connectivity solutions that take ideas further, challenge the status
quo, and deliver outstanding experiences that consumers appreciate.
The same core values that inspired our Founders are shared by everyone at CSR
today. The determination and passion to keep pushing boundaries, to consistently
defy conventions, and the belief that “impossible” is just a word.
