Beach battle Corporate and community teams will battle for beach volleyball glory on Friday 17 April in support of the Cherish Women’s Cancer Foundation. Hosted by Olympic Beach Volleyball gold medallist Natalie Cook, the Battle Against Ovarian Cancer will help raise much-needed funds for better treatments for women’s cancer sufferers. The World's Greatest Vintage Fundraising Fete will be held at the Woolloongabba Antique Centre on Sunday 29 March from 9am to 5pm with live music, dance, pin-up styling, classic cars, photo shoots, vintage and collectable sales and more! You don't need to book in advance but a gold coin donation at the door is required. Food truck fans get excited for Eats and Beats, one of Queensland’s largest food truck events with a unique night market atmosphere. Held in the Ikea Logan forecourt, a total of ten trucks will attend, including the hugely popular King of Wings, Little Back, Viva Paella and Vira Lata. This year’s hunt features around 50 kilograms of Easter eggs hidden throughout the park by local volunteers, as well as a free sausage sizzle, face painting, egg-and-spoon races, potato sack races, a photo booth and a visit from the Easter Bunny.
