He graduated from the University of Calgary in 1978 with a major in Geography and a minor in Urban Studies but was involved in community planning through summer work over the period of attending university. (over) For more information visit www.bapg.ca DARRELL GRANT Principal, BA (Geography/Urban Studies) CAREER SYNOPSIS CONTINUED Darrell’s expertise lies in project coordination on projects ranging from master-planned communities to detailed site design; as well as the preparation of Outline Plans, Land Use redesignations, Conceptual Schemes, and Area Structure Plans. Design is Darrell’s passion and his greatest strength is visualizing what his client’s vision and conveying it in a form that best exemplifies the client’s expectations. Darrell has been able to offer his skills to various clients throughout all of Canada’s western provinces, as well as Russia. Recent, ongoing projects of which he has found particularly rewarding include Canada Lands Company tri-developments in Calgary of Garrison Woods, Garrison Green, and Currie Barracks, in which all three have a distinct character with each having been highly regarded as unique urban villages, exceptionally integrated into existing, inner city Calgary communities.
