Old Group, New Name — Information Technology Changes Name Information technology (IT) staff in academic and administrative units throughout campus have been referred to as “LAN Coordinators,” a term derived from ‘local area networks,’ an antiquated technology. As part of the ongoing effort to enhance IT staff collaboration, the group adopted a new name, Campus Information Technology Coordinators, to more accurately reflect their role on campus. A new Campus Community Technology Council (CCTC) has also been formed to advise the provost on how to prioritize and implement the Optimizing IT Steering Committee recommendations adopted in the fall quarter. For more information, visit the CCTC website. CSU Fee Waiver Benefit Available The fee waiver program provides eligible faculty, staff, and management employees the opportunity to attend classes at CSU campuses at greatly reduced rates. The benefit may also be transferred to eligible dependents. For information regarding eligibility, guidelines, procedures and deadlines, go to afd.calpoly.edu/hr/feewaiver.asp.
