WHISH April 2015
+ Whitby Hidden Impairments Support and Help Group Comments from the Chair—Vicky Millson April 2015 WHISH working in partnership WHISH exists because of its membership, but we work operate within a community, and deal with many other organisations during the course of a year. We receive funding from some organisations, such as the Lottery and the local Health Commissioners, advice and support from CAVCA, and work in collaboration and partnership with many others. An example was last month’s session on sleep issues, arranged and funded by Carer’s Resource, delivered by NHS practitioners. In this month’s newsletter there are details of opportunities and advice offered by our local DAGs Disablement Action Groups, and next month Dr Watson from Scarborough will be delivering a WHISH session in Whitby on identifying anxiety & depression symptoms in young people. We have also been offered a fundraising opportunity by Sainsbury’s, for which we need some member volunteers. Please let us know what other issues / subjects you would find useful.
