THESE ARE CARS WE RACE – NOT RACE CARS!
Car: Any stock four cylinder front-engine hardtop coupe, sedan or station wagon. 2 cars required. Cars must be chained
or cabled together-minimum 4 feet, maximum 6 feet bumper to bumper between cars.
Maximum 2 chains.
Front car must have brakes fully disabled and working engine
Rear car must have engine fully disabled and working brakes. Engine must remain in rear car.
Drivers: Must be at least 16 years of age, with notarized release or signed by both parents at the track on race day.
Driver pit passes are $20 ARCA member, $30 non-member. Crew members are $20 each.
Doors must be chained or welded closed. Driver and passenger doors must be reinforced. Concrete is permitted.
Concrete must be within 4 inches of top of door. No loose material. Max. door reinforcements not to exceed 12 inches
wide or extend past driver’s door more than 8 inches. Ends of reinforcement must not be sharp and squared off. Front and
rear passenger doors may not be reinforced. Driver’s door must be padded on top of window opening.
Exhaust: Pipes may extend straight up, through hood, not to exceed roof height.
Fire extinguisher: Optional, but must be securely fastened.
Firewall: The firewall dividing the engine and driver’s compartment must remain intact. All holes must be covered with
metal.
Gas Tank: No more than 5 gallons of gas. Stock gas tank may be removed from original position and replaced with
limited capacity (5 gallon) metal gas tank (custom, marine-type) or fuel cell. Replacement tanks must be securely
mounted in front of the rear axle. All caps, fittings and lines must be secure. No plastic lines. Replacement tanks must be
covered with metal firewall. Electric fuel pumps must have a clearly-marked (bright red) shut-off switch within reach of
driver. Gas tank in rear car must be removed.
Glass: Front windshield must be intact and secure. Lexan may be used to replace stock windshield. All other glass and
plastic must be removed. Glass inside door panels must be removed. Trunk, inside of car must be swept clean.
Hood, Trunk Hatchback: Must be chained closed but remain open until inspected. All latches must be removed. A
minimum 6 inch hole in hood is mandatory. Hood and trunk springs must be removed.
Interior: All knobs, handles, decks, seats must be removed.
Radiator: Radiator must remain in original location. NO ANTIFREEZE.
Roll Bars: A hoop style roll bar behind driver’s head is recommended in both cars. Bar is to be securely braced and
fastened to frame or unibody.
Safety equipment: (For both cars and drivers) 5-point harness is mandatory, in good condition. Helmets mandatory-Snell
rating 2005 or newer. Drivers are to wear full coverage, fire retardant driving suit. Window nets, racing gloves and goggles
mandatory. AIR BAGS MUST BE DISCONNECTED OR REMOVED.
Seats: Front seats should be reinforced. Rear seat and all cushions must be removed.
Transmission: Stock for make and model.
Wheels: Must remain stock.
Cars must be painted and presentable. Same number to be on both cars. Call 419-727-1100 for car number.
Car Entry fee: $30 per team per race. Entry fee is due no later than 7 days from day of race. Late-$50.
STOCK IS WHAT IS ACCEPTABLE! SUSPENSION-STOCK; ENGINE-STOCK; BODY-STOCK; TIRE AND WHEELSSTOCK. IF YOU’RE THINKING, YOU ARE WRONG!
2015 FIGURE 8 TRAIN RACE ENTRY: Entry fee is $30 per team per race. Fee due no later than 7 days from day of race.
Late entry fee is $50 per team. Fee may be paid for all 5 events at one time.
