Game Assistant, Rose Bowl Game
The Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association is a volunteer-driven non-profit
organization that produces the annual Rose Parade and Rose Bowl Game, in addition to
supporting a variety of San Gabriel Valley-area entities and otherwise contributing to the
local community. The Association is currently seeking candidates for the position of
Game Assistant for the Rose Bowl Game. Under the direct supervision of the Senior
Manager, Team and Conference Operations, the Game Assistant will be responsible for
supporting the Senior Manager, Team and Conference Operations and Production
Manager in the manner described below. This is a full-time staff position available
immediately.
Representative Duties
General and Administrative:
Meeting preparation and logistics
Provide clerical support and perform duties including: photocopying, filing,
meeting room preparation, appointment scheduling, and other duties as needed
Shipping and receiving
Gift inventory and distribution
Staff uniform inventory and distribution
University Participation Manual and team forms assistance
Assist Football Committee with budget, invoices and game travel
Game Staff Budget and Payroll Support Management:
Assist with vendor service agreements and purchase orders
Collect required certificate of insurance
Collect necessary permits
Assist with payment of invoices
Assist with independent contractor payroll
Assist Production Manager with Game Officials Logistics:
Update Game Officials Guide
Payment and travel reimbursement
Responsible for Assisting Stadium Transportation Operations:
Rental Cars
Golf Carts
VIP Drivers
Responsible for Operations Trailer Logistics and Organization:
Provide support for office moves to and from the stadium
Game operations assistance as assigned
Responsible for deliveries and coordination of assigned vendors
Perform other duties as assigned
Position Requirements
Associate’s Degree or higher preferred
Able to exercise discretion with confidential information
Must be proficient at MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong time management, analytical and research skills
Strong problem solving skills
Strong interpersonal skills; works well with all levels of internal management and staff
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Professional demeanor and strong work ethic is mandatory
Some evening and weekend work required. Must be able to commit to working all days
and evenings between December 26 and January 2.
Salary: $30,000 – $35,000, plus benefits after completion of probationary period and
possible overtime hours
