Global commodity demand influences this as decreased demand results in less production and less associated waste. Mining is a key waste contributor The South African water utilities industry had total revenues of $3.3bn in 2012, representing a (CAGR) of 8.6% between 2008 and 2012. 310 billion EUR are invested for the implementation of infrastructure measures within the next 15 years.
